Spending all that time and money on upgrades was worth it. After working my way all the way to the very bottom I found the very rarest of the gems so now I have more money than I know what to do with. Also there's a very large diamond down there but I'm not sure it's gonna fit in my tunnels to the surface. I guess I could always start over.

My guess is that DF playing Minecraft and looking for diamonds involves a lot of getting blown up by creepers, burning to death in lava, and getting suffocated by a sudden avalanche of gravel. The usual Minecraft day, in other words.

Hey dev, if you ever see this post, please make a special tool that breaks the giant stone. Maybe make a limit for each use like 7 or 10 large borders before it breaks and has to be repurchased. Could even add a feature where you can get some materials through the giant rocks.
