Lol I see that you used modrinth instead of curseforge, which I can see why. curseforge isn't as good anymore and I am happy seeing more mod creators getting some love and some actual support for a change because they make this community much more fun & possible for more creative ideas to improve on the existing modding community.

tails is open source btw, i contacted the creator on twitter a long time ago about updates and she told me its open source now. (she works for RARE now as far as i can tell)

HELP. I did all your steps, i have my PNG and I uploaded to Minecraft. I log in and no extra textures appear or whatever you call what the mod adds. I have no idea what i did wrong :( Can you help please.

Did you install the mod? You need external mod combine with the skin configuration site to make it work.

What do I edit the skin in? I can't figure it out for the LIFE of me :'( I think I have everything else figured out- where to edit in the ears and tail- but I don't know what program to use in order to do so....

Can you help me with something? For some reason I wanted to add Claws to one of my Minecraft Avatar only for the legs but for some reason only the Left Leg Claw Shows, but not the right one. The arms claws, and left leg claw work with showing but not the right leg claw. Can you help with that? Make a tutorial video on how to have Claws on both of a Custom Minecraft's Character Legs pretty please?

Like the program? You can use an art program. I used GIMP in the video.

No, I merge them after. I edit the template directly, then, merge it with the actual skin when I'm done.

@@KaitheFoox In Minecraft Comes Alive, another mod that lets you customize an avatar, you can do different things like change skin color, hair color, clothing type, give genetic conditions, etc. I was thinking that this mods was similar to that

1.20.6 on Java? If so, yes, but note that this is not a mod for bedrock.

how do i load up the configured skin and my skin as separate layers?

Most photo editing software has a layer system built in. As in the case of gimp (What I use in the video.) You open your own skin in the software, then go to file and click "open as layers." This will open a file manager window to select the configured skin. Once you do that, it should be all set.

As long as you can edit the entire texture, you should be able to.

I have made the skin and it works on the ears skin manipulator, but when I equip the skin as my own for some reason it does not work. I am playing on the 1.19.2 version, on quilt, and even with only mod menu and quilt api it doesn't work for me. Is there a setting I am missing or something?

@@nutratwa if you go to the website that helps you build the skin you can see a square of colored pixels on the base template for your settings. Just copy those pixels onto your skin and it should work with the mod.
