EDF5 Review will be next, hopefully in a week or two. Hope this can hold you over. By the way, I should have mentioned this, 2025 is literally 4.1 but a little worse. Both are the "fourth" games in the mainline series, 4.1 is just the remastered/enhanced edition. Me recommending 2025 at the end is me recommending 4.1, essentially, to people who don't have access to a PS4/5 or PC.
Fencer from EDF 4.1 and especially 5 is what not only inspired me to try Armored Core 6, but also allowed me to quickly get used to the combat and movement of that game.
uhh, from me playing the first level for footage for this video...woof. I hope it gets better I guess, but the tone is very off-putting so far. Thta wing diver introduction is ingrained in my brain. "I like yams and cocoa" The idea to bring back units from every EDF game seems neat, so we'll see I guess...
@@Dorkaxe You could say that is compensated by giving the player the ability to have a team of 4 Air Raiders (use the 4 and 5 ones) that have another airstrike as their weapon. That's 8, timed reload airstrikes all at once. That's not even including the SP Moves, where you can have up to 3 Rule of God airstrikes (1 for each EDF 4 Air Raider's SP move)
My partner and I both fell in love with EDF 5 after I binge wached the series on your channel. Needless to say I'm excited to see what your think of it
Hey, love your content! Got sucked in due to a recent pick up in interest with Dead Rising and have binged a lot of your content! Would love to see you talk in depth about Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction! Its gotta be one of my all time favorites
Nice one. Im looking forward to your EDF 5 reviews and 6 when it get localised. yes you are right about 4.1 being an enchanced edition of 2025, i think it adds a few new enemies and there are a staggering 147 levels total. thats 89 singleplayer, 98 and the DLC Mission packs. Its Maddness! haha.
Hey man I love your critiques on the Dead Rising series. They were excellent critiques and were one of the few online reviews that seemed to be on board with my thoughts on those games. Which of the EDF games is your favorite (most likely between 4.1 and 5)? I have both but I only really want to spend my time on only one of them as they're both massive games.
As much as I love 4.1, I'd say go with 5. A lot of cool additions and equipment, enemies are fucking awesome, weather effects are fun, and you'll be primed and ready for whenever EDF6 gets its English release(EDF works it sets of twos, so EDF5 was a new Earth and EDF6 is the sequel)
Is this game worth it cause rn there's bundle for it on humble bundle where u get most of the games and u get dlcs for 4'1and I was wondering if it's good
I bought EDF5 a while back, and played for around 3 hours. This might be a stupid question, but how do I get to this crazy stuff? I played 8-10 missions and the only new enemy I got was the spiders. Do I just need to keep playing to get the cool stuff?
My recommendation would be to play it with a buddy and plow through a bunch of levels. New enemies will appear in certain missions, and eventually keep compounding on each other near the end. Early game is almost all black ants/intro stuff, near 20s is where things start getting crazy, and by the 40s and 50s it's just all crazy stuff. If you can't plow through with a friend, and you're not up for playing solo, joining some rando lobbies(the ones that are public/no passcode, check for that) and hop around the game that way is a pretty good time. That's what I did with 4.1, I played 3-5 levels as an air raider with one group during missions 32-37, then next time I'd be a ranger in 56-61 or something. It worked a little better with me since I played the whole game through once already, but either way, it's still a great time if you don't care too much about which enemies get introduced at what time/the story in the background.
Now here's a series that has slipped past me for all my life... Reminds me of a shitty bakugan game I played at my friends house almost 15 years ago. Great stuff.
