I wonder if the Tardis deliberately shuffled around rooms and corridors with certain passengers on it in time and space, because it didn't want the Doctor interacting with them yet. We've seen Rory and Clara trapped in time loops within the Tardis before.
There are so many instances where I’ve had an idea and then the show uses it. 2011: Wild West Story 2013: A Town Called Mercy. 2013: Doctor Who meets Robin Hood 2014: Robots of Sherwood. 2017: Companions infiltrate Cybermen by disguising as them 2020: The Timeless Children. 2018: A story titled Revolution of the Daleks 2021: Revolution of the Daleks. 2020: A story with the 13th Doctor in the Crimean War 2021: War of the Sontarans
Don't worry Sam, it's happened to me too. I was going to write a story about rasputin and how the Doctor discovers he's an Ice Warrior, but I was told there was already a book where the 3rd Doctor met him. I tell ya, I'm still not over that.
Had a similar thing happen. "OH what if the Nestene used all the plastic in the Ocean for a global takeover! Boom!" A month or so later, Sargasso was announced...
Oh man, imagine the "Infinite IKEA" SCP but set inside the TARDIS. Eclectic, eccentric, and extremely powerful Who villains reduced to ragtag scavengers trying to survive in an infinity of weird and bizarre backrooms the Doctor forgot about millennia ago. Possibly while other monsters try to kill them. Maybe something's _infesting_ the TARDIS, and it's up to all the squatters to save the Doctor before he notices or they're all out on their asses.
And the Master can pop-up Played by eric roberts Because occasionally if you're real quiet you can hear A American screaming in the eighth doctor's tardis. And since the tardis is a complex space time event He can show up in the modern one
Have you had a chance to listen to "Masterful" yet? Missy drops a bit of a bombshell. She tells Joe Grant that that the doctor can just walk into a library pick out a book from a distance and already know it's going to be in it. "It's a time lord trick" He's just letting his companions find the information in the books to make them feel special.
When I was a teenager, I had a whole story mapped out about the early days of the various renegade Time Lords (the Master, the Rani, the Monk, the War Chief). Turns out that's just what the Deca is in various expanded media, but originally in Divided Loyalties.
I wonder what life after death is like in Doctor Who. Is there absolutely nothing like in Torchwood or is it the Nethersphere like in Dark Water & Death in Heaven? Or is it something else completely?
In the Short Trips story _Still Lives_ two people phase through every parallel Earth between the Doctor Who Earth and the Inferno Earth. And that implies some or even all of those other Earths were doomed to destruction by the Inferno Project.
We've all been there 😂 I was going to write a fanfic about the Doctor and the TARDIS colliding with a prototype TARDIS from ancient Gallifrey and meeting the earliest Time Lords to travel time: that was done in the Seventh Doctor novel Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible.
Loved that sketch at the beginning! Hey Deathwielder7456 has never been in a story before-- Big Finish STILL gave me the cold shoulder! I've listened to the beginning, I kinda forgot most of it. Marc Platt's pre-Hartnell stuff might not be my bag
And then Adric returns. yer... anyway. As for squaters in the Tardis... no as of "The Time War" The Doctor has no one elce in the Tardis apart from companions, due to the fact that he keeps needing more power to get out of truble, reverce transmats most of the ships Mass, converting it back into Data and Energy then burns it off as fule. But not the control room being used at the time. in theory a younger or older version of the Tardis may be able to provide some power during rare events, to keep things going for a wile.
When you did that broke canon giveaway thing, the fact I gave was about circular time (winter)'s plot, so I have no proof of this and I don't think you even saw that tweet but i'm counting this as a W
9:26 In real life, Telus is one of the three main telecom companies in Canada. Having a telecom company take over and rebrand the Earth is simultaneously peak dystopia and disturbingly plausible.
16:58 maybe it’s because Nyssa is remembering what the master did to her life (father, stepmom, planet…😢) and Fivey thinks it’s fiction 😂 dreams are a common theme in the Fivey era
8:13 it could be like how the Assyrians are now vs in the ancient past 😅😮 Could be interesting, a story/era where humans are rare in the future. And earth is now a melting pot of species from the Three Galaxies (mutters spiral, andromeda, and Isop) and in future episodes when there are people that look human they’re actually all from separate species each. And maybe mention who is what in a post episode bible thing or a site “17th Doctor era explained”. 😮 Basically, for example a space station would be staffed by a Crespallion, a Catkind, a Menoptera, a Cryon, and an Argolin, but as we go further in the future we get to meet many old ‘Who species! 😮 In My ‘Who future I will do that, in my mind with keys of Marinus being set so far back in the past (30000 BC?) yet being to a 1930’s? Level of technology advancement, then by 2024 those Arbitans/Marinians/what you want to call them, are a numerous species with a federation spanning and protecting galaxies and introducing advanced technology everywhere 😂😅 Notice how by 1963-1989 all those alien species are people in robes named Sotep and Kizak who have hyperfuturistic tech civs (although they often look vaguely medieval) who roteate around a specific piece of tech and a royal family/priest/person with a title like Comrader Sagup of Lupsak or Boundarist Druid Velnak of Mitvos. I feel like they have contact with Marinus but also each other. And that they mingle with each other 😂 and there might even be hybrids eventually 😮 “Turns out I’m an Arbitan, not a Zanakian or Manussan like my dear adopted dads. No wonder I couldn’t hold my breath for more than five minutes!”
Somebody give DAVIS his own DOCTOR WHO trivia programme (see? I spelled it ye olde English way). No...I don't mean like this youtu.be thing (tho I enjoy it immensely). I mean a real, full--time gig that pays him enough to do this exclusively. You see... he's the BEST of the Doccy Who commentators, by a long mile - as he knows his shit, and immerses himself (eye)BALLS DEEP into the insanity of it all. Plus, he has a fun persona, entertaining presentation, and a pleasant speaking voice. I need more of his content in the world. Yow Yknow...at least until the Reality Bomb hits.
The doctor fought Kajiu on occasions right? When are we getting the doctor teaming up with a power ranger or beating up starfish hitler with a ultraman? ( yes I know he’s a Kamen rider villain I just want another doctor toku thing)
