The Earth Kingdom is rather interesting to me since it combines a variety of east, south-east and central Asian clothing styles. But most obviously its make-up tends to be Han and Ming chinese, Mongolian and Jurchen, Joseon and Heian-Muromachi era clothing as well spaced out.
Most of the clothing styles and hairstyles seen in Ba Sing Se are directly inspired by Qing Dynasty Manchurian customs snd most others by Han Chinese Song and Ming Dynasty styles. Some localized ones seem to be more Korean and Japanese inspired. Kyoshi especially reminds me a bit on Okinawa. A cultural mix between Chinese and Japanese influences also martial arts wise.
An MMO would be awesome! Like, you could design your own bender (or non bender), and maybe even an avatar! Have you heard about that avatar Dream project this one dude is making? It seems promising so far.
@Shawn Zheng, it's only sad because we associate it with Iroh's laye son. In and of itself, it's a calming song though, as proven by Iroh singing it to calm the kid that was crying on the street. He probably also used to sing it to calm his son, which is why he sang it as a memorial.
You should have indicated the real life inspirations of these fashion styles. For example, Ba Sing Se is Qin/Manchu, Gaoling is Tang Dynasty, the others are mostly Han
@@auggiemain Wan was a good character but the story was shite. They went for the whole good and evil approach even though ATLA's theme for bending was more of a duality. They even expanded the worst part of ATLA the deus ex machina Lion Turtle that gave Aang energy beding, I liked to think that bending was always there, and that people learned bending from the animals instead of the Lion Turtles giving bending for no god damn reason. And the whole 10,000 years prophecy was bad, it created the cliche "Fated hero". Korra was a bad series but it has good things and the flashback was not one of them. The world-building, plot of S1(could've been good but it was so rushed, They had Korra lose her bending and get her bending back in the same episode.) 1st half of S2, all of S3, Zaheer, Korra mentally healing from the poison affects, all of S4 except the ending, Bolin, Varrick, and Kevira where the only good parts of the show. sorry for tangeant.
