I was definitely raised off of this song. During my troubled and uncertain times as a teenager, I would draw from this song as a source of encouragement. It has so many spiritual overtones. I fear for this generation of children because these types of groups are no longer in existence. We used to call it message music........many groups have attempted the message music vibe; but none have matched the success of the elements. EWF could rock the crowd with a funky dance tune, they could sing a romantic ballad (showing respect towards our women), and they could follow all that up with a message of hope in a simple song. They had it all!!!
