1000% right... My brother bought The Best of... Vol 1 for 99p in 1981 and I loved it, and I spent the '80s collecting the individual albums (not always easy to get - a lot of bargain bin searches). A wonderful band. What a legacy. That's the Way of the World is in my Top 10 albums.
This group of old men is a SHAM of What Maurice White's EWF was! They are pandering EWF for $$$$! Look at EWF when Maurice White Led them in the 70s/80s/90s! Maurice White wrote ALL the songs and ALL the spectacular staging!
Saw them perform last night in Phoenix. Simply incredible. Some of these cats are in their 70s and they move like 20 year olds! Awesome band. Started watching them in the 70s, and I will always be grateful for them being in my life
How Phillip Bailey switched from being the 2nd to main vocal was the smoothest transition ever, with his old position now covered by David Withworth. Idk maybe because that was the EWF squad I grew up with but that's my favorite.
This song has a unique touch additionally when listening to it I can feel my father by my side every day religiously when he took me to school for a good time he played a cassette of greatest hits by Earth, Wind & Fire and this was his favorite song and He made me sing it with him at the top of my lungs, music that wonderful thing that when we listen to it in a magical way if we close our eyes can transport us to unique places and moments............ . ...................... I love you and I will always love you Dad, thanks for making me enjoy this really magical and unique music.
I Love the music these gents made and I teach it to aspiring guitar students to this day. I loved Maurice's voice and his spirit and the union that he and Philip Bailey had with each other. It's beautiful timeless music they created and it deserves to be played forever.
I bought three tickets to see you guys in 2021 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and now you guys postponed it for another year I bought those tickets I waited a year to see you guys now I got to wait another year you are the reason Earth Wind & Fire the best band in the world
Thats the best guitarist EW&F ever had - I'm a guitarist of many years and have heard all the ones you've had, and this this guy simply brings it on hands down

@@christinetimmon353 these old men are ew&f still. It's sad that Reese ain't here anymore. Charles Stepney was the arranger/producer behind ew&f, when he died ew&f's flavor simmered. I'm glad to see Verdine, Phillip and Ralph. All org members. And one day you'll get old too.
@@jaywalters5255 I know the story of Stepney and how EWF started! ALL Of them including Stepney relied on Maurice's talent and knowledge of The 🎶 🎶 music world! He was the House drummer for Chess Records and knew practically every singer of Those times who ALL came to Chess Records! Maurice was also popular With the jazz bands and played with the Ramsey Lewis Trio! Maurice was a Super Star way before he created EWF! No one can take that away from Him! Sure, Stepney and others wanted To control him but he is way to talented To be controlled! Aaaand, Maurice's Body and physique was magnificent! He had it ALL! If it wasn't for Maurice Staging and choreography EWF is NOT About anything! Aaand Maurice was So sexy and exotic! EWF better be Glad they are still making money off His work! ALL their songs are Maurice White songs. Even more, Maurice White's songs guided me Through over 50 years of major Accomplishments including doing The equations for a Nuclear Power Plant! Maurice was more than a Music man! He's my electronic soul Spirit that guides me through the Good and helps me avoid the bad! Google me Christine Timmon and Watch my Memorial Tribute show For September of 2020 and my Valentine's 💘 Love Tribute to the Magnificent Maurice White!
@@christinetimmon353 You don't know what you are talking about. Current and past members of EWF wrote and produced many of the songs in their catalog. They are playing THEIR music. As for Maurice being superior to Charles Stepney in their musical and arrangement knowledge, you are wayyy off track, and taking this opportunity to vent, but it doesn't hold water for people in the know. Charles could do this stuff in his sleep, and since you mentioned Chess records, where in the hell do you think Charles Stepney came from? It is true that their was some melodic slippage with the passing of Charles Stepney. Much of that was taken up by Al McKay, guitarist. As for the folks on the stage, 3 of the members are LEGACY members, meaning they OWN part of EWF, so they SHOULD be doing this. It's ridiculous to insist that they be doing something else. As for other members on stage, keep in mind this was recorded in 2005, and many had been with the group for more than a decade at the time, and played on many original recordings. I get your adulation for Maurice, but your statements are pure folly.
Steve! That's because the exotic rhythm an spirit of Maurice White is missing! These. Old guys can blow horns, beat drums and play guitars But they don't have Maurice White's Distinctive rhythm and exotic sounds That had thousands of young people 💃 dancing in a frenzy at concerts! Watch Maurice White EWF in Brazil, Barcelona and Japan! These old guys Are pandering Maurice EWF for $$$$!
@@stevecoleman9962 I disagree! Graham and Reynolds were top notch! Dick Smith blended with Maurice especially In System of Survival, Barcelona! They Were so sexy with their opening moves!
