One of the greatest R&B albums ever made. This was Maurice's Sargent Pepper's. The production, arrangement, writing, horns, vocals, musicality and sophistication on this album are phenomenal. And to think Diana was excluded from this album. This was EW&F top of the mountain. To me. I AM and Songs in the key of life are the 2 best.

As a musician the music in the background is perfection. They hit beats like nobody’s business and if you’re not deaf the harmony blends so sweet. Every time I play this I find myself conducting with a imaginary baton to the crisp cuts that they do. My family thinks I’m strange for always doing this but I can’t help it.

This cut is vintage Maurice White & EWF in their prime with fresh horn section and all. The "I AM" album is my favorite album from the exhaustive volume of great EWF masterpieces. This LP album was cut during my sophomore college year - Summer 1979...loaded with great hits: Wait, In the Stone, Boogie Wonderland, Can't Let Go, and my favorite, the timeless "After the Love is Gone." I was 13 when this album came out in '79 and then through to 19 and being a student, my friends and I danced our many troubles away! 👍

Vanessa, you said it exactly right. I have a HUGE music collection, over 7000 CDs, and EW&F are at the very top of the pyramid. No kidding, it's true! They are my spiritual connection to the force of true love in the universe. To me, it's GOD, pure, simple, and oh so sweet. I swear, the holy spirit was singing through Maurice White. There will NEVER be a group like these guys ever again. It was a one time deal. I believe that I have the 3 best EW&F playlists, anywhere on youtube, at my Music channel.
