It's extraordinary how a woman who was always told she was worthless and insignificant as a child soon became a confident young artist on the stage & TV. Some people would have curled up in a ball and not faced the world had they had the kind of childhood Eartha endured but she seemed to do the opposite - I guess she wanted to prove she was worth a lot more and I guess she was craving love & attention - naturally. Hence why I ADORE her.

German isn't always "rough". Stereotype. This song is a great example that German can also sound nice. Anyhow, she did an amazing job here. Almost crystal-clear pronounciation. German audiences loved her.
