As someone who is currently playing Earthbound (I haven't finished it yet) I have to say this remix is amazing.

You know Qumu is a good remixer when you've never played any Earthbound games and your head is still bopping to the music. Great Job!

Earthbound is such a fantastic game, it had some truly innovative game mechanics like being able to equip newly bought armor and weapons without going into menus, selling old equipment when new ones are bought, being able to see if any given item is stronger than what you already have and seeing who can equip it through the normal overlay and having a context sensitive interaction button. This plus the funny dialogue and witty description and comments make for an absolutely incredible classic that everyone should at the very least try out. The Onett has always had a very special place in my heart, it's the first city you go to and has some very memorable moments in it, it shows how complex the combat can be and it gives you a sense of what kind of game it is within the first 30 minutes. Your remix really hit that nostalgic feel I get from the original but also gives it some fresh air with the more electronic instruments. This will no doubt be something I'll listen to when I want to play EarthBound

One of my childhood games on the SNES.. I remember staying up all night not knowing where to go and still having a blast playing it.

Enjoyed the remix, the great thing about remixing songs like this is that despite being from a more niche game, they’re easily recognizable thanks to Smash. So despite not playing Earthbound, I’m well acquainted with this song. That said, the sound choice for the melody sounds very Earthbound. Kinda trippy and distorted without being distracting. Great work. I also love when you have those strings pull up on that arpeggio. Super fun
