In this part we explore the rest of the Lost Underworld, and take on the final sanctuary dungeon, Fire Spring.
Tips:
- Don't miss out on Poo's final piece of equipment in the Lost Underworld. With all the extra benefits his gear gives him, Poo becomes much more useful in battle!
- Depending on what enemies you're facing in the Fire Spring, your strategies will vary slightly. If you run into a Major Psychic Psycho, set up a PSI Shield Σ right away. But that shield can't protect you from the Soul Consuming Flame's attacks, though, so take those out quickly with your strongest PSI Freeze. Psychic Psychos aren't too dangerous, and Evil Elementals can possess you, but you can definitely leave them for last.
- Make sure you give Ness the best equipment you can right after beating the boss here...

I came to this video specifically to see the scene at the end. I finished this game a few months ago and I keep coming back to some of the scenes on RU-vid. I feel like Ness. When he's thinking to himself in the Lumine Hall. "it's been a long road to get here... What will happen to us?" The uncertainty of a difficult path through life. When he's sitting for a moment and reflecting over a cup of tea or coffee. Thinking about the journey ahead. How far he's come and how far he still needs to go. How doubt and fear come in waves and that you need to push through it. That when I go through trials and tribulations my adversary is going through them as well. But this scene really gets me. Just his mom saying that all she wants for him is that he grows and becomes strong. I've got some work I need to go do.

Personally I thought the lumine hall’s message was like the “player’s” thoughts. Ness was unaware of the future ahead, but so was the player (unless you got spoiled) so we’re these really ness’s thoughts, or yours?

I just think ness and co. are self inserts done right. I felt connected to them all even though they like said nothing at all lol…

Personally, I think they're Ness's thoughts. I felt really connected to them as well, but I never felt like I took their place. I kind of felt like I was an unseen 5th member of the group. Especially during the SPOILER final battle where it prompts the player to pray and even names you by the name you gave earlier. I just also feel very connected to this part of the game, because i've had thoughts exactly like the ones displayed on the lumine hall. And to me it was an incredible part of the game becuase it gave Ness some lines and you could see into his character a bit deeper. @@sugarsailors.5939

I remember that it is entirely possible for the sanctuary boss to diamonize itself, it's not worth it, but it's funny 🤣

Today, I’m too lazy to type a whole tangent with timestamps for a comment. I’ll say that the full melody and scene with ness going to his house when he was young was one of the hardest hitting moments in this game for me. As for fire spring, I never actually found it too difficult for me to handle. And I did try to make diamond dog diamondize itself, only to realize that after the battle reflective shields can’t inflict the status back on it and that I needed to confuse it to make it do so. Once carbon dog solidified, I spammed Multi bottle rockets and then thought about making it diamondize itself.

Something weird is happening to me with earthbound, ever since I finished my 1st save, I did another one, and I haven’t seen ness get homesick once.

For some reason when ness reaches higher levels at least when I play he misses all the time when I hit the bash... I can never rely on his bat
