Fake/repro games. They're dangerous. They're sneaky.
But also sometimes they are a necessary evil when someone wants to play a game on original hardware, but can't afford to spend the kind of money a lot of these older titles are going for. The important thing is to be able to identify and verify something that you're buying to make sure it's legit. And it's not always easy.
In this video I'll show you a side by side comparison between a real and a repro Earthbound, and a few things to look for when you're conducting your own investigations.
