I cant believe how beautiful this is, I honestly feel myself tearing up as I watch this. Earthbound made such a vital part of my childhood and really helped me out of a lot of difficult situations. You truly captured what made this series so special to me and so many other fans, thank you for making such a heartwarming tribute. ❤
*Ness* - All-around PSI support. Can use a variety of healing and defensive moves to assist the team, such as damage / defense buffs, and healing. Also can take quite a beating. *Lucas* - Offensive move user. Amazing attacks like PK Love and Starstorm, but lacks support abilities. A vital asset to felling foes in a flash, but make sure to keep HP in check. *Starman* - Durable melee menace. After being recruited, they now can whack foes with metal tentacles for mean damage which quickly overshadow their pitiful starting PSI.
I saw the house and I was like "earthbound?" then I saw the Onett sign and I was like "EARTHBOUND!!!" then I saw Lucas and I was like "mother 3?" then I saw ness and Lucas and I was like "EARTHBOUND AND MOTHER 3!!!!" then I saw Ninten and I was like "who tf is this clown??" then I saw Starman and I was like "YOOOO!!!"
Yeah, I guess. But like... why does the animation go there? Why does anybody have it out for the first game in the series? Aside from the fact that most people on this side of the planet never played it, since it's only been made available via emulation and on Wii U. I dunno; I didn't really dig the "joke" in the video, either.
@@Mitsuraga maybe they just exaggerate the idea most people don't like too much the Game and they don't find too much options in their minds so they use them as punchbag to laugh
I SAW THE THUMBNAIL AND WAS ABOUT TO SKIP IT CUZ I DON'T GOT TIME TO WATCH THE TRIBUTE AGAIN, BUT SAW IT WAS 48 SECONDS, "I could use some wholesomeness, sure, ye." AND NOW I JUST CAN'T STOP LAUGHING, EVERYONE'S REACTION TO THAT SMOOTH AS HELL STARMAN, I CANNNNTTT 😭
This brings me an unparalleled amount of joy every time I come back to it, it's a perfect blend of 2008 newgrounds, modern-era shitposting, and genuinely some of the funniest expression work I've ever seen in an animation.
I think i understand why this is so replayable. Seriously, you need to really pat yourself on the back for this one. You managed to put so much in less than a minute. The fact that they can talk, saying things they would obviously say to each other, the rope snake, Ninten getting roasted figuratively, Lucas' voice going ape, STAR-FUCKING-MAN-JUNIOR, the sound effects, Ninten getting roasted literally. All that...in less than 50 seconds. I swear to god, this is amazing.
this dialogue is hilarious it's like your mic died after several outtakes and you had to animate around the bloopers also the warble on lucas' voice sounds like wario land 4
I have watched this at least two dozen times and I am not stopping anytime soon. this will have a lasting impact on my sense of humor for the next decade at least.
there are two kinds of earthbound animations: tributes to a quirky obscure game series, or touching upon the unsettling aspects that most games rated E could get away with. This is the secret, evil third option.
this is the type of unhinged shit we need back in this fandom again bro oh my god me and my sister cant stop rewatching this its so god damn funny bro, thank you for this please keep making crackhead ass animations like this they're pure gold 😭 (rotoscope starman lives rent free in my head now)
I've been watching this video daily since I've found it. Every time it appears in my recommended, I watch it all the way through. This truly is one of the best Mother series fan creations i have ever seen in my entire existence
The best part for me (apart from everything) is the fact that the Stamen's sprite isn't even in an official Earthbound game. That's the starman sprite from Mother: Cognitive Dissonance
I was expecting something warm and heartfelt, with yet another remix of Eight Melodies, as it tends to go. But it is important to know, all the emotions matter, so it's good to see a different angle.
This was fucking amazing. Earthbound was a huge part of my life. It taught me so much, it helped me to understand the world a little better, and it introduced me to DOOM (That was a weird day.). It showed me that not all rpgs have to be fantasy or sci fi, they can be any theme they want. And this was the singlehanded most amazing tribute. Absolutely beautiful. Godspeed you magnificent bastard, I'm checking out the rest of your channel :)
even though earthbound didn't really play a big role in my life, i still had a lot of fun playing the game. it makes me yearn for my old kid adventurer spirit that i lost a while ago, so i feel honored to have been touched by ness and his friends.
Ah yes, Earthbound Beginnings. Kinda the black sheep of the Mother series even though it's the first one. I'm glad someone is making a remake of it because it needs one and so far it looks really good! Also, awesome video.
I have watched this an unhealthy amount of times since it’s release Edit: every time this video is recommended as the next video I click it. This has happened 4 times today. Help
clicked on the video ready to get in my feels and feel nostalgic for a franchise i never even engaged with outside of smash bros, only to nearly spit out my drink from the comedy whiplash
