Brent from EarthCruiser shows us around the company's new 2020 EXP camper. Based on a Mitsubishi Fuso chassi, it features Chevy power, custom axles, and a whole host of bit to help travelers go nearly anywhere.

Great vid, If you are going to sell your rig as a 4 season rig you really need to offer a "Severe Snow Service" rated tire option, the TOYO's are great tires however they are not great in the snow and are not a legal winter tire here in Colorado.

I still don't understand their camper concept. Their concept is "ship it globally and explore anywhere" but "putting in a shipping container & ship it somewhere" is not the only method to transport it. Limiting the interior space only for fitting it in a shipping container? Check out part 2. The interior space is so limited so they put their controller unit right next to the stove.

At 3:31 he says the box that the air compressor is plumbed into, is also plumbed into the house. He then says at 4:43 that the batters are vented. They’re both in the same box. The batteries aren’t vented into the home box are they???

At $400,000 are you not in Unimog territory?

Well, we're not sure about how much a brand new Unimog is with a custom built living quarters is. It's not really an apples to apples comparison.

@@1966cambo Well first off, you can't buy a new Unimog in the U.S. so that's one reason it's not apples to apples. Secondly, if you could, a Unimog is a much different chassis than a Fuso, not to mention an LS-powered version like this EarthCruiser. It's totally different. Finally, Unimog doesn't make campers; it'd be the base vehicle like the Mitsubishi Fuso is the base for the EarthCruiser. You'd then have to find a company to build it out to have the accessories and living quarters like this vehicle. So the comparison of a Unimog vs EarthCruiser isn't apples to apples.

Crankshaft Culture i guess i should have written the word camperized Unimog so you could follow along? I thought you would understand my point sorry. There are plenty of camperized/expedition Unimogs around and were being converted long before Earthcruiser started. Not saying i dont like the product ( although i would NEVER pull the diesel in favor of an LS even though the LS is a good gas engine.), i am just saying you are selling a product for $400,000 that has a Chevy engine? Is this simply because Merica? The Fusa has a great engine for your application and would be more attractive with the Mits drive train, or a Unimog with a custom build box for the same money, just sayin.....

@@1966cambo Well, it's not for everyone. But I'm sure EarthCruiser would be glad to answer questions about why a Chevy gas engine vs. diesel.

The sound on both of your videos is horrible. Can you not use a mic on the person? If you're going to do RU-vid video's you have to up your game and provide good sound.

Indeed the sound was a challenge. This was a spur-of-the-moment thing and we didn't have a mic with us. However, we have since purchased an external microphone.
