It was an interesting video to watch. I didn't know Akihabara station, Nakacho red light district, Ameya-Yokochō market, and Ueno station were close in proximity. According to Google Maps, it is about 21 minutes walking distance from Akihabara station to Ueno station.

Beautiful temple and the Akira Toriyama' s tribute during the Obon festival is so iconic and so heartbreaking 🙏🏻❤

Temple is different from shrine in Japan. Temple is Buddhist institutions and shrines is Shinto institutions. And this is shrine.

It started at 17:00 and ended at 21:00. Every year, Kanda Myojin hosts Bon dance festivals for 3 days and the first day is always the Anime song Bon dance festival.

Thank you so much, absolutely fascinating.- When the alert came in I remembered a line from a song: "I don't give a flying flamingo!" - You got yourself a new subscriber, the point of view is so realistic that one thinks he/she is actually there. Very different from other creators. 👍🏼

Heey, thanks for showing that Mirishita x Ramen shop collab at 11:17 . It's so nice seeing Takane around, even more in a ramen shop, as she loves ramen lol.

Is it hard to find wifi in Japan in public?

I guess not... But I definitely recommend getting a local SIM card. It'd be much more convenient.

@camesoul I used to have the Yurekuru on my iPhone as well but just like @mateo-messi10 says, recent smartphones don't seem to need a particular app. Since many smartphones are made to be used internationally, I have a feeling even tourists from outside Japan can receive the same alert when emergency occurs. The reason why I feel this way is because I have another smartphone I use only for the purpose of monitoring the video while I'm filming and it received the alert this time even though it doesn't have any SIM card inside!
@zeeZerl
@zeeZerl 29 дней назад
Yes, almost all smartphones today should be able to receive emergency broadcast messages. Relevant settings should default to enabled, but always better to check. No phone contract or data connection is required, but the radio needs to be on, so no airplane mode. If your device can make emergency calls, it should be able to receive those broadcasts.

@@VSV_Japan It's the same system as the one in the USA with the typical ring tone. I received it during a tornado alert in Colorado...and it is now installed in France (tests were carried out, and my 2 cell phones rang almost at the same time)...

How often do earthquakes hit Japan, and in which places in Japan does it hit more ?
@VSV_Japan
@VSV_Japan 28 дней назад
Sorry I can’t answer the question very well. As for the very small ones, probably they happen once in a couple of months… but we don’t really care about the small ones so I don’t really count them. And the places earthquakes hit the most, hmmm it’s becoming really unpredictable.
@Lodai974
@Lodai974 28 дней назад
None, Japan is right on the Pacific Ring of Fire, at the intersection of 3 tectonic plates (Eurasian, Philippine, Pacific), which explains its long and twisted shape ..... Sorry but Japan is the country of earthquakes, but it is also the best prepared.The anti-seismic standards are very elaborate and many other countries have followed, the automatic alerts are functional, even the trains are equipped with an alert system with automatic emergency stop.
@SRN42069
@SRN42069 23 дня назад
@@VSV_Japan Small ones Shindo 1 or lower happen almost everyday or at least a few times a month, they do no damage and most people can't even feel them, that's just the nature of being in the ring of fire. However bigger ones that you can feel are much harder to predict so it's best to just have plan in place if you live there.
