Was watching one of your reviews the other day as my wife walked by. Stopped and told me: I like that guy, I don't like what he reviews but he cracks himself up, he sings his silly songs and he's having fun doing what he loves. We should all try to be more like him. Have to agree. Emgos joy and enthusiasm is what brings me back to almost every single review!
Just got this guy today, I love the way he looks and transforms. The SR-71 Blackbird-like mode is gorgeous and the 'dragon' mode is horrifying (in a good, Horrorcon way). The robot mode is OK, but I can't ask for more. He looks amazing next to Apeface and the colors are spot on. See you all in Kingdom!
When he stopped and said he "wasn't going to do that" with the bloosh, I was actually kind of sad for a moment. Then he hit us with the double nipple BLOOOOOSH!
I actually am getting this guy. He'll be my collections Triple Changer... Also, fun how he was originally supposed to be a Mercenary, like Exhaust and Soundblaster.
Got him JUST TODAY. on of my long lasting wishlist, and i am so happy with him. The freakin cockpit kills me, in a good day. the molding and details is still amazing.
I was a bit worried because in all the pictures and previous reviews I've seen his lower jaw in godzilla mode looks a bit weird, but you made it look a lot better.
I always find it fascinating how well-engineered many of the Transformers are! @Emgo316 have you any favourites for their engineering or that you can't get on with because of it? 👍🏻
i've learned a lesson this year: Never Pre-order on Amazon except you want to wait for your figures 8 months (?) BUT WELL THIS IS LIVING IN ARGENTINA BE LIKE!!! Yet again another AWESOME Review, thanks for exist Emgo.
Nice. While I have always preferred Apeface for his cyclopian ape mode, this toy seems better designed than his Siege counterpart. Yeah, dragon mode is kinda iffy but the spaceship and robot modes are solid. Given the compromises inherent in triple changers, I'll take it.
Got him today. Kept passing on him in stores but finally broke. Always thought his robot mode was cool but it was his Dino mode that broke me. Now I gotta back track to get Apeface so I have the duo
It was clear on Apeface they prioritized the ape mode and the jet was an afterthought... here it's the other way around. Though, to be fair, it's really just that sad, doofy looking underbite that spoils it. Wonder if some 3p company or Shapeways modeler will make a jaw filler that pegs into the titanmaster's feet to fill out that profile a bit.
Brother had a second hand one of these without any documentation/instructions and though the robot and jet were easy enough to figure out we never once had the dragon mode right as he was always either a flying dino thing with the nose of the jet angled up and hinged down or a four legged panther. Funniest thing is we always thought of Snap Dragon as four changer though they were never officially right. While I feel Double Dealer is a much better G1 redux this still is very reminiscent/respectful of the original toy. Using the the headmaster as the bottom jaw/inside of the mouth is pretty clever. Also the Blooooosh bit was pretty hilarious.
They wouldn't sell me prime, but they put this one on the shelf at Target Soni nabbed it. I don't regularly like beast modes. Another version of Mecha-Godzilla is always welcome. Also, check out the purple totems on his forearms!
Overall I'm really digging these WFC redux Horrorcons, especially Snapdragon. 3:17 The one thing I'm most thankful for is that they did away with that stupid weathering paint. If you had done the comparison in robot mode you could see how clean Snapdragon looks compared to Apeface who looks absolutely ridiculous with the amount of silver on him.
I think I'd prefer if the dorsal tail fins were on pegs like the original. They're be less likely to break off, and there then would be the option (and options are good) to move them somewhere else in the other modes. It'd also provide more 5mm ports for blooshing.
Looks cool. I just ordered one. It's going to be my Masterpiece Snapdragon. I hate how huge the "official" MP scale Headmasters are. In The Rebirth, Head and Targetmasters were the same size, which is how I prefer it.
If Hasbro wants to make some change. I different head sculpt and color scheme and it could pass for a Cobra Nightraven. Maybe even have a micromaster transform into a drone.
The worst part for me is that the headmaster wouldn't fit in the area you have to put his head in for the lower jaw in dragon mode. So I usually keep snapdragon in robot or jet mode.
bruh aren't those the one's from hun gurr's team? and if so, WHERE THE HELL ARE THE DINOBOTS?! i hope that at least chapter 3 toy line will include them, at least big boy grim. As far as i'm concerned, he deserves a budget figure with a good dino mode and earthrise and siege are the best hasbro had in years!
The funny thing i just noticed is that i basically had the left over bits from a g1 snap dragon, i had mostly the chest part with one of the guns unfortunately the hands, legs, the second gun and the head were all missing so it was a real let down in my opinion cause this figure would have went great alongside my g1 optimus prime and g1 wheeljack ahh good times
Lol why is he the only Voyager from Wave 2 able to be put on shelves now? Why is Megatron street dated for later? And why can't the deluxes come out? Hasbro will never fail to confuse us all
Emgo:no double bloosh Me:why dude?your supposed to be dope!!!! Emgo:BIG OK double nipple bloooooooooosssshhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
