Can't wait for when he has to face a two base territory, especially one with tau. Let's just say artillery and teched-up plasma static defenses will be your best friend. (Seriously Imperial guard defense towers when teched up and given plasma guns after gatling guns have absurd range and kill everything including artillery, just make sure you have a scanner tower as well.)

Worth noting that EVERY territory with a webway gate (aside from the Dark Elves HQ) is a control point battle.

Captn' your commander need 'targeting optics' wargear soon - Tau, Eldar and Dark eldar have too much invisible units/buildings. As for artillery spotters, there are Sentinels with scanner upgrade serve well as scouts. For longer range 'Marauder Vigilant' (2nd one in comms tower) - has scan ability can scan LARGE area -much bigger then HQ scan and with faster cooldown - as well as detect invisible units in smaller area. P.S. For breaking enemy morale you have stun grenades and stun grenade launcher (special weapon teams and kasrkins ) - works great!

Can't recommend that wargear enough. It is absolutely essential for fighting those factions, imo. Well, at least, it makes it significantly less painful!

I wonder who the Shack will fight next? Blood Angels? Eldar? Necrons? ( I doubt he will go for Chaos or the annoying Dark Eldar). My only criticism of Crucible campaign mode, is that by mid game, the AI has so much req points that they have 2 bases on every spot. Making the game a slog of who can throw the most bodies into the battle to win... Regardless, it's good to see another DOW from the Captain. Cheers!

At least in the basegame, to actually kill Power armored enemies (Sister of Battle and Space Marines), you need Plasma Weapons. And it does sound like something they got from the Tabletop. Grenades are more against light infantry, like Cultists, IG, some Tau and Eldar.

I’ve been playing IG and in missions where I need to hold the points I use the air doctrine. The ability to air drop armor into the middle of battle rapidly. Guards men don’t last on their own so a few chimeras and sentinels will help they do good damage to infantry.

Shack, use commissars to keep your infantry in the fight by executing. your squads are just breaking too soon so their damage output is garbage.

Love this series...mainly because I can't get past one territory even on easy. They really could do with having an option that just keeps the original difficulty for us old (sorry, mature) casual types 😀

I started at IG doing space marines now. As IG the chimera transport and sentinels are blessings when you have a wall of flesh. When fighting sisters rosted flesh

Haven't tried this mod, but does it really got cranked up in the difficulty, even on Easy? I usually play on Hard diff in vanilla DoW btw.

Can't emphasize enough how much better off you'd be placing your generators next to production/research buildings, and then just building another HQ to build more generators. Instead of building them to the side and blowing them up when they get drained. You can certainly get by doing it your way, but this would probably save you some trouble!

@@mranderson9553 i imagine im somehow putting it into the wrong files. im never been good with modding. it took me hours to get UA working and i have never got a single Minecraft mod working.

@@firmak2 @firmak2 just download all the files into the same folder without extracting them, and then run the installer, it'll ask you where the file for dawn of war is, it may be correct but if not then select file named 'Dawn of War - soulstorm' if you have the game on steam you can find it by left clicking the game and selecting browse files, it'll set itself up, from there all you have to do is find the 'DoW mod manager" that is in your soulstorm folder, press the 'toggle lla' button (this just unrestricts the ram) on the top of the screen the first time you launch it then just press launch mod in the top right corner
