Dude, I feel you completely. I’m married, but I always said from day one that I was going to learn to do my daughters hair so that we always had that special time to do that and talk. 5 years in and doing good so far! Videos like this are an absolute godsend, thanks very much to this lady for posting.

Oh my god, I normally never comment but I have really thick silky hair, which makes it impossible for me to ever do any updos because my hair has no texture to help it grip, and my hairs quite heavy, so its only a matter of time before it becomes undone and falls. I've tried so so many of the updo hairstyles on youtube for sooo many years, not once has my hair EVER come out looking like the tutorial, I just don't have that type of hair. I tried this, almost definitely sure it wouldn't work, like everything else I've tried, but I was so shocked, I had actually successfully created an updo, and it looked beautiful, wore it for a couple hours, VERY secure! It didn't fall at all. I'm so glad I found this tutorial, nothing has ever worked for my hair, and I still can't believe, that after years and years of youtube tutorials for updos, THIS is the one tutorial that actually worked for my hair when nothing has! It's so simple it's crazy Thank you so much for sharing this, it came out nicer than I ever would have imagined, now I can FINALLY do cute updos for events rather than having to let my hair down all the time.

So I used to do this pull through braid thing, that wasn't hard, but time consuming and used a lot of hair elastic, and this looks almost exactly like it when it's done. I can't wait to try this!

UPDATE: Thick and Long Hair Modification: so I tried this hairstyle bc well, like many people who would love to have my hair, I would give most of it away go have skinny girl genes and I needed a gym proof do! (And I’m SO over the bun that I always rock). IF YOU HAVE THICK HAIR, for EACH pig tail, twist into 2 twists and without letting them loosen, tuck in the tight twist immediately. You will end up with 4 loops, instead of 2. Take one twist loop from each pony and pin ABOVE the other two. Then. Do the same thing to the two remaining twists, on either side of your head. This way, it doesn’t look like a hunk of poop and is too heavy to look good. Much cuter and looks like the braid that she did in this video. VOILA! Adorable and ready to burn some buns! Thanks again for this (now) easy hairstyle! 💜 I LOVE this easy hairstyle! I read one review before watching that said that it was actually easy and OMG! I’m about to go try this now!
