I do this everyday but with normal cheddar im 17 and not a chef but this is so easy - u dont need american cheese use whatever u desire but DONT use them square packet cheese it is fake cheese and tastes horrible and the texture is like water
@kweonawilson290 small amount, do it at at a small amount at a time: too much it's very runny too little the sauce is too stretchy and doesn't stick to the nachos
Yesterday I made my cheese sauce for mac and cheese that way. But what was different is that I used white American and when the sauce thickened I added in freshly grated aged extra sharp white cheddar. I seasoned it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, & jalapeño powder. I used penne for the pasta and the mac & cheese was so delicious and creamy.
Thank you!! You don't need to make a Roux with flour and butter every time. Get a block of Velveeta and do what this person is doing. I've been doing this for years for a quick mac and cheese with burgers or whatever. Yes I do the Roux recipe for baked mac and cheese but for a quick side dish during the work week for my family this works Great and takes no time at all and my family Loves it!
@@lucyk.5163 I think you can make sodium citrate at home by using baking soda and citric acid (sometimes called lemon salt in my country) and add that to your cheese or mixture but searching for processed cheese would probably be easier
Add some BBQ seasoning to this and maybe some dill and/or garlic oh and also use double cream instead of milk ….. and yes, I am typing this comment out as I eat my bowl of cheese sauce. You can’t go wrong with cheese sauce man it’s delicious 🤤🤤🤤
When I make mac & cheese I want to make the cheese sauce like that. Except for after I melt White American cheese in the cheese sauce I’ll add in some aged extra sharp white cheddar and some heavy whipping cream for extra creaminess and I’ll season it with salt, black pepper, & jalapeño powder.

Make sure you’re using the processed cheese slices, it has a certain chemical in it that allows the cheese and milk to blend together. You can add other cheeses too but make sure have the fake stuff
It Hass to be American cheese singles like the ones that are individually plastic wrapped. Those have a lot of emulsifiers in them, which is why this works.
