I honestly couldn't believe when you said "if your talented, clearly I'm not" . I understand that you meant regarding beading, but it just struck me as a funny comment b/c you are so very clearly talented!

I really liked this method. Have looked at other videos online and yours is simple but very pretty. I will be giving this a go. Unlike the other ways this is easy enough to teach my grandkids.

Love this, thank you for the tutorial. A tip to help you to adhere small items together “straight”… use reverse tweezers. I find it much easier and this avoids the wonky off-center placement because otherwise your fingers make it hard to see the object you are handling.
@Scrimpingmommy
@Scrimpingmommy Год назад
I cant hold them as I have bad hands I tried and just cant grip them :( x
@cynthiaschaeffer650

@@Scrimpingmommy Sorry to hear you have bad hands. I have DeQueverain tenosynovitis (thumb & wrist issues) so I rely heavily on my reverse tweezers for gripping. I can’t use normal tweezers though for the same reason. We do what we must :-) And like you, I cannot do beading though I used to love making jewelry,but I love paper crafting!

These charms are lovely. I don't do journals, so have never needed charms. I can see how they'd certainly be centre stage on a card or instead of a tassel on a special bookmark. I'm going to try some myself. 🌷🇨🇦🌷

Omg I could listen to you all day. Makes me feel like I found a friend. I don't know why. You are very easy to listen to and learn from. Nothing pretentiousness here. Just good tutorial and easy to do. But I could not get the name of what you are using.....gold what? Lol. I'm 73 and I sometimes don't catch what people said...old ears. Ha. Thanks Amanda. I'm subbing right now. I need to see more of your work. Hang tight. You are so great....oooo ooo is it gold mirror board? I hope. Lol

Nice! I'm not good at centering either. I would glue the first circle down on the mirror cardstock and then use the second punch. Same with the next. That way it's easier to center.
@Scrimpingmommy

yeah I would normally do that but the sandwich is a bit thick to get in the punch as my mirror card is thick.. xx

Hello Scrimpingmommy! I love your latest video on how to make journal charms yourself! I'm big on DIY, and agree with you that it's better to make your own things rather than buying them. That way you can personalize your charms, and make them to suit what your theme is. I also love your "faux laminating" trick!! I'd have never have thought of using tape, and you are such a genius!! Thanks for the tips and tricks. Cheers! ~Janet in Canada 💖💖💗💗

Great tutorial! Definitely want to try this. One thing you can do if you have trouble layering is put the layer on and then punch it out. Easier to center that way and then punch if that makes sense ☺️. I have trouble too so I try to minimize the wonkieness when I can.
@Scrimpingmommy
@Scrimpingmommy Год назад
yeah i do sometimes but these punches don't like too many layers the slot isn't wide enough to slide it in when using a few layers of card or I absolutely would have done that. These end up quite thick xx

I’m very excited. I’m one if those that has to have the same “stuff “ as shown in the demo. I just finished watching the whale tail video for tabs and while I don’t have the tab punch (wish I did), I do have the 2” circle punch. I also have all of the punches mentioned to make charms and I have the foil and I have 6x6 craft paper sheets. I use soft suede to ink my edges and all of this makes me incredibly happy. I do need to order some of those pins to hold the charms.
