Another kickass video.... That's a nice looking Carb on a dream of a bike. Thankyou for your knowledge and the time you put into these videos. Much Respect from the UK 🤘✊
I’ve seen that sometimes when the leak is caused by a piece of debris under the float needle, you can release it just by opening the bowl drain and flushing it out, without pulling the carb. This happened to me after doing a carb rebuild and not flushing the gas tank.
What size/style fuel/breather line is that that you’re using? I dig that shit. Love your vids brother. Watched almost all of them, even ones that don’t pertain to my 07 vt750c2f, just to gain more knowledge.
Saint Gobain Performamce Plastics F-4040-A Tygon fuel line. Comes in different sizes. Very resistant to the swelling, hardening and embrittlement which often comes from hydrocarbon based fluids, like gasoline. Hell yeah man! There's mou tains of info in these videos!!! Good on you for expanding your mind and soaking up information.might not apply to you, but you might be able to share it with someone in the future! Thanks for watching and commenting man! DO FUN SHIT!

I simply cant Believe the audacity of the out of focus shot on the pinched fuel line. Honda shadows are now simply un ridable. pfft. What a piece of sh*****. Im putting a nice pretty dress on and going out to buy a sportster. Where the hell is my purse!
Badass video TJ! I had to figure all this shit out last year getting my bike running after sitting for a year. I’m glad you posted it so these other Honda fucks can figure it out too!!!! P.S. your text messages from the shop for 10% off always get me to hop on the website and see what’s new. I love it lol
Glad to see you using a nice quality streamlight! I can’t do a single thing in life without shining a light 🤦🏼♂️😂 my wife and kids constantly needing me to light up under the bed or couches to find crap! lol
Unfortunately the single carbs don't have the option to adjust the float height. There's no metal adjustable tang. The dual carb bikes do though and they are easy to adjust. But thank you first for the feedback my friend! And second for the compliment!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
get a go-no go feeler gauge set. the procedure is literally in the maintenance section in the front of the service manual. - cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0847/8734/files/Honda_VT600C_VT600CD_97-_01_Service_Manual_Good_Version_-_compressed.pdf?16660444080663888540

Even at the rat shack here we down all tools and take all nesicerry measures to protect balls from flaming inferno. Because without balls we could not ride half safe mk. 3 Beard also needs to be preserved. At this stage of life it may actually be impossible to replace such a face monument🎉
I think I figured out why I was getting an improper air/fuel mixture! So, upon inspecting the carburetor like the video showed I took off the air fuel screw, and noticed that the spring washer and O-ring didn’t wanna come out on its own so fortunately I had some little pick tools. I was able to pull the spring and the O-ring out and low, and behold, there was another little teeny tiny O-ring all the way down at the bottom of where, the little pinhole is for air to get into the back of the carburetor. The O-ring was blocking the little hole so I pulled the O-ring out and Walla went on the website and looked at how the air fuel screw was supposed to be assembled and from what I see, there is only one O-ring at the very tip of the air fuel needle, I will be trying to start her up tomorrow and see if I get a better result. Keep in mind this is my first ever bike and first ever bike build and tune learning a lot and having a lot of fun with all these little trial and error ordeals. I will be going to the auto parts store tomorrow and getting 6 quarts of motorcycle oil because I will have to do the “re-lubing” procedure and hope the previous owner didn’t damage the bike while running it like that because I have no idea how long it was ran with gas in the oil. I haven’t noticed any black or white smoke coming out of the tail pipe, even when I was running the engine earlier I was only getting lean symptoms, for example, the carburetor was sneezing I’d give it a Cunt hair of throttle and it would want to backfire and bog etc etc. my idle was good but my air fuel mixture screw had to be opened up a whole lot for me to get any kind of decent throttle action (with continued sputter) and now I think I understand why that was happening! Thank you TJ so much for all of your videos, they help out tremendously, I can’t wait for your giveaway either. Good luck to everyone that left reviews!!!
