The previous generation sportsman has a better rack design if you plan on using a box, i used the polaris lock n ride holes to mount my box, very easy, and a plus side, the bix now comes off with no tools... if i ever do need to remove it, i can regardless of where i am, or what rools i may or may not have. Very cool that these holes lined up for you, 1 in a million!
Thanks a lot Roy!!! I've just got the exact same machine and I've got the kimpex nomad too. Good thing we don't ride together, that'd be hard to find our own ride. You just saved me lotsa time, i swapped the bolts like you recommended, huge time saver and its rock solid! I added big washers, you can't beat being bolted directly into the frame! Great video! Truly appreciated, have a good ride!
I have the same Kimpex box waiting to be installed on my 2021 850. I just picked up my ATV yesterday. I sure hope the quick install you found for your 570 works for my 850. Thanks for the video. I'll keep you posted if it works.
I am curious if it worked as well. I have a 2021 850 ultimate trail and my back rack is a bit different, it has a small storage compartment and the screws are different. There is also a cover underneath so I cant see the screws from the bottom.
Worked great! Only thing I did different was I put larger washers on the rear bolts since drilling right next to that ridge in the plastic is unavoidable. Was worried about the plastic eventually breaking using the factory washer.
Hey Roy, this is the exact quad and spec (trail) that I'm looking for! I'm also gonna get the extra seat for my wife to come with me occasionally. Thanks for doing the research on that. The Trail version comes with the 2500lbs winch, do you know if that's compatible with the Snow Plow system? Also, another question, did you consider the 2021 850 trail version? I'm not sure if the 850 are all new like the 570. Thanks.
Hi Gihad!! So I’m not sure about the snow plow system, but I did do a lot of research and the 570 Trail just fit me best. The 850 is great for wide open riding and it does have tons of power, but more torque on the 570. I probably would’ve enjoyed an 850 or 1000, but the price point really played into it for me
Can I leave the front bolts there and put the new longer ones in the back? I just pre ordered the same machine in a 2022 Saturday. Dealership is telling me it should be here sometime between February 27th and the end of march.
Thanks for the video, Roy! Quick question: I ordered my 570 Premium and it comes with the rear rack extender. Do you think it will interfere with the placement of the Nomad?
Hey, thanks for this, just bought a 570 and my nomad should be here sometime this week. Just wondering if you can still remove the seat to access the air filter and all that without having to remove the nomad? Thanks
Yes, the nomad sits only on the rear rack. The second seat is attached with a Velcro strap, so it’s easy to remove. Be sure you don’t travel with the 2nd seat attached because it will blow off
Hello Roy, great video! Could you include the part # to the Kimpex Nomad Plus 2 up rear seat box? I would appreciate the help, as well as other 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 Trail owners?!! Thanks a bunch, congratulations on your new ATV! I did the same, I went with the Polaris Sportsman 570 Trail over the bigger Polaris 850, Can Am 850 XT, only so fast you can go on the trail systems here in New Hampshire. So, I went with the 2021 Polaris Sportsman 570 Trail, also saved a couple grand in the process! I think I'll be happy with the new machine when it arrives soon?!! What are your thoughts so far, good and bad, are your regretting not going with the bigger machine? Thanks, and enjoy your new ride!!
Hi Brian. The part number for the plus is 458010 from Kimpex, even though I ordered mine from Rocky Mountain ATV. The standard Nomad (458000) is the same with a few less features. So far I'm loving the 570 and I have no regrets about my purchase. I still have no interest in moving up to an 850 or 1000. The 570 trail was definitely the right quad for me, and it's still a 60mph machine with me (270lbs) on it.
@@helluvasinger Roy, thanks I really appreciate the info, good to have helpful people willing to share knowledge. I spoke with my salesman again today for a bit, picking his brain about if the 570 Trail would be a good fit, as I'm around 250lb, and He said I'd be happy with it, and after watching LOTS of videos with big guys on these 570's, it made my choice feel real good. Hard to beat the looks and value of the Polaris Sportsman 570 Trail, killer looks.....and by the reaction to a few videos of new 2021 570 Trail owners REALLY HAPPY with the new bike. I'm feeling secure with my decision. Again, thanks my good man!! Enjoy, and Happy Trails!!
I tightened down the front bolts, and then put the put the rear bolts up through from the bottom and used a drill to spin marks on them I could see.. then took it off, flipped it over and drilled them out
I have the same quad.. qnd im picking up a kimpex box today. Was wondering how I was gonna install it with no rail. Still thinking I might get some Lock N Ride clamps and do it that way. But I may end up doing your way.
@@helluvasinger after talking to my Polaris rep.. he convinced me not to. Questioned if I had my kid on the back if I would trust it with their life. Made the decision easy. Went to my local hardware store and they didn't have long enough bolts.. about to head into town to track some down.. so my install will be exactly the same as yours.
Yes there is, plenty actually. But you need to get the foot pedestals so they don’t keep sliding forward because their feet won’t reach the floorboards.
Did you have to purchase any additional hardware? If so what? Sorry man I ordered this a week ago, taking painstakingly long to come, I’ll get it the day I’m supposed to load up on a friends truck for a trip so I won’t have very much time for set backs. If you could let me know so I can have that ready for when it comes I’d appreciate it. Also, fuck fed ex. I feel like I’m on one of those reality tv shows that build hot rods or motorcycles for shows and nothing goes wrong and they have it together a minute before the reveal. Unrelated but my dealer is being a pain in the ass about getting me the fucking title so I can get the registration sticker that’s going to be required on this trip too.they are trying to tell me it takes 30 days to get a title. It’s a brand new machine. I’m fucking losing it over here man why can’t shit just fucking work
