Java people having issues, instead of AFK where he tells you, just go up to about 158 or so and build a platform to hang out there directly about the farm. You want to stay within 128 blocks of the bottom kill room.. So for me, the magma blocks sit at 30. 30+128=158. Also, they don't really go for the snow golem. just use iron golem. The farm will be much faster.
This is great! Thank you! I was going to just build one level, but it was so easy I went ahead and did all three. Loved not having to carry in stacks and stacks of blocks! Now, I carted out tons of them so I think I’m going to work on storage next. I zipped up to topside for a couple things I forgot and by then time I got back I had "proof of slime." By the time I actually got the thing finished I had 3 stacks of slime balls just from fighting them off when I got back each time (well , it was more than a couple things…) I had close to 6 stacks in the chest before I was completely done. I moved the scaffolding to the back of the afk room and closed up the original shaft. I replaced two solid blocks with glass blocks looking into the minecart track just for fun. Also I enlarged the afk room to the sides and put stacked double chests and a couple of work stations in an alcove in the wall for something to do.
Why won’t mine work? 😢 I built it, it didn’t work. I found a new chunk and built it again, still doesn’t work. Slime won’t spawn. EDIT: Farm works great…. Just don’t get your X and Z coordinates the wrong way round 🤦♂️😂
@ninodionela I can understand it clearly the comas seem to work well, not everyone is a English expert you know, aslong as its understandable then it's fine.
Guys for those whose slimes aren't spawning, make sure you have digged the correct x and z coordinates of the slime chunk according to the chunkbase website. And in 1.21, ladders are also a reason why they don't spawn, so remove all the ladders if you've placed it. Else, it should work perfectly.
I built 4 layers and I got 7.5 stacks in around 15 minutes, so almost 30 stacks in an hour. Such a crazy effective farm!!! I don't know why but I really wanna build 6 more layers and check the farm rates for even more efficiency. Edit: As expected, the farm didn't increased it's rates. Better to build 5 layers and that'll exceed more than enough😁
hi this was a great help thank you. as i had went down to the level i went down two blocks at a time one in the chunck and the outher out so set up ladders on the block out of the chunck and a door on each level in case i needed to still acsess them and made a way out in the waiting area of the afk area.
@@scufbr3cher130 build it like 20 blocks lower than this, and prob not in a swamp biome, also what he didn't mention is that in both editinons you should light up nearby caves or spawners to reduce the mob cap. I fucked that up the first time and spent like hours lighting up caves
@@twitch.onshorts I haven't, but I think the reason is because there is a nearby slime chunk near my slime chunk so I'm planning to spawn proof that one or make another slime farm from that
I will try and remember to add those in the future. I recorded this video 3 weeks ago and got back from vacation last night I don’t remember the rates for this farm 😭 I think it’s almost a chest and hour tho? I said it closer to the end of the video
I think you need to be 24-28 blocks away but less than 34 blocks away. I am not sure though, I got that info from a reddit post from 6 years ago. So stuff may have changed.
@@1upMC I didn't find a snow biome in my world and I have an iron farm that's why I wanted to replace the snowman with an iron golem. BTW this farm seems really simple, thank you so much for this tutorial 😊

I'll have to modify my present some farm to this... only thing is i wont have looting 3 in use during afk. But I'm going to try this out.... the many levels threw me for a loop and i got excited for this farm again.
