Steve so good to see you posting videos. Great job as always. I want to say Thank You to all the Veterans. With out you, we wouldn't be able to enjoy the thing we do. GOD BLESS and GOD BLESS AMERICA.
Hi Mr monster cat, it’s great to see you back at what you love, catching Catfish. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Thanks for sharing your great fishing adventures with America 🇺🇸
Miss seeing so many of your videos. You are very concerned about taking care of the fish and having fun. Stay busy and will enjoy each video when u get a chance to make them. Stay safe man.
I dont get any audio notification from any youtube channels Im subscribed to ??? Been like that for awhile..But nice video Steve good to see you doing what you love
Water temp said 81 degrees. No place on the Ohio river on November 11th right now that the water temp is 81. Putting together old footage. At least he’s trying. I started out watching him and still respect him.
eh, the barge bite. Used to fish the wing wall at the Guttenburg, Ia. lock and dam. If water wasn't too high you can walk out on it. Sit there for hours fishing straight down with big live baits, catch a couple 30/40 pounders, then the barges come through moving that massive wall side to side when entering the lock. When they come in, pull the lines until the boats gone so ya don't get scrambled on snags, then refresh. Once the power was in the lock, the fish hit....BIG fish. Had hooked a couple that 80lb offshore gear couldn't move more than a few feet. Hung up? Maybe.... Perhaps they were residents under the broken lock wall and had the angle to stay where they were.
I've been wanting to try control drifting The ledges like this on the Missouri River near Kansas City where I live. It's a great River and there are some massive catfish in here. My two best blues this year was 64 lb and 59 lb. The problem is the water is moving so fast in this area it's very difficult to get set up on the spots you want to fish sometimes. I'm planning on picking up an 80 lb terrova to replace my 55 lb power drive and I hope that does the trick. We will see Ohh and I sure do love my six red devil monster rod Holders as well as my big catfish net from you guys. You have great stuff and thanks for the great quality.
Love catch and release. Now if we can stop the polluters, clean up the river and stop the commercial catfish net fishermen the fishing will really be good.
Been trying to pull blues/flatties out of the ohio for about two months now , east of cincinnati ; below and above mehldahl. I would love to see a fishing for cats above a dam guide from you.
@Stevedouglas I remember watching your videos a few years ago and just thought man that is freaking awesome, I wana do that so. I started putting time on the water and look at me now. Love this catfishing stuff. Lol
@@scottrader7498 Is it just a rebroadcast of one that was originally displayed several years ago? It's dated November 11, 2020...If so, then that makes sense that it was published before he got his Deep V Nothwest branded new boat.
How do you control your speed? Just by using a trolling motor or drift with current of river? Do you suspend or are you on the bottom? Do you try to find an area in lake that is all the same depth or do you allow your bait to drag bottom for those high areas?
Steve, you make me wish we had blue and flatheads here. I go for channel catfish and so far, my pb is a 12 pounder. Fishing will soon come to an end with the cold, ice and snow and will resume in late March meanwhile I'll watch every video you will make. Thanks.
Hey there Steve, I just subscribed to your channel. I can see where you are going to teach me a lot of great lessons. I fish with 5500 abu garcia reels. What is your take on abu garcia reels? Thank you so much.
Haven’t seen this one in a long time. I thought Steve sold it. Man, I love that Aluminum boat. Not to many Aluminums out there I’m fond of based on the type of fishing I do.
Does anyone know what part of the Ohio River he's fishing? I can't catch a big catfish for the life of me up here near Cincinnati. I've used every cut bait possible 4 days a week for the last 6 months. I'm putting in the time, but I only get ten pounders. I don't have a boat though
You're not the only one getting skunked bud. I been trying around and i cant even catch a channel or anything. Tried below and above mehldahl as well as off the bank near a couple different creek mouths. between there and cinci
@@fishinghippie958 well that really sucks! I at least catch them. I just can't catch anything bigger than 15lbs. I caught 6 blue's Saturday. The biggest was 12.65lbs. That's strange that you can't get anything. I fish a creek mouth and I do well with action. I've noticed that the best time to go is after a long rain. If it rains all night get out there and try. Hopefully you'll have some luck!
@@cincinnatiking8008 Im going out tomorrow to give her another go. My jon boat motor is eating lower shocks mounts right now cause of my frequent river trips. Ive tried at the indian creek mouth a couple times with no luck but i think i might try there again tomorrow.
@@fishinghippie958 Sometimes I go a week and catch nothing. The bite should be on fire most likely after this rain we're about to get Wednesday. You have a boat, so you can get to some really good places. Good luck!
It may take a few for the fix to make it thru the lines of servers and so forth. If you have ever seen a bunch of TV`s in line they don`t all play the same thing at the same time depending on how there hooked in.
Was able to hack a couple to play now there all saying error occurred. I guess no fishing shows tonight. Maybe won`t take long to fix as we can comment to each other.
great tips and i really enjoy your videos buddy i have been trying your tips with some success and i have ordered some of your rod holders i got the slime green with black tips they look great waiting to get them
