Easiest way to Remove Decals and Graphics From a Trailer
1st - Use Heat Gun
Hold Heat Gun Several inch's Back from Decal and graphic
2nd - Temperatures below 95 degree's works Best
3rd - Use Rapid Remover - Adhesive Remover to Remove Adhesive
4th - Lightly use Rubbing Compound
5th - Wax (I used 3M Marine Restorer & Wax)

A tip I found that helps is that after you spray that you can use dish soap and water and spray it on after it's been sitting on their 60sec or so, but that helps lubricate your squuegies to make it easier to rub off..or if you have a pressure washer always SPRAY DOWN. But it cleans it right off

Well i have sign shop i go through 5gal per year last 20 yrs. worth works well 1. Remove old vinyl via heat gun 2.spray on for about minute or 2 3. Use scraper lil chisler 4. Then plastic scrubie from dollar store. 5. Spray lightly again wipe with micro fiber towel. . 6. Follow with 90% alcohol wipe clean.

Thanks for the video Phyllis. I bought a used trailer with 4 giant vinyl decals and like your project, lettering as well. Getting the big decals off is worrisome. Hoping the heat gun does the job. Any insight or suggestions from you, I’ll give a try.

I have not tried it, but someone mentioned steaming off decals as a great solution that can't harm the paint. Some people use chemicals, heat guns and 'eraser wheels'. I suppose it also depends on the size, or material, like a wrap. Removing the adhesive might require the process as mentioned in this video?

I tried using a heat gun to remove licence plate stickers, and it cooked the paint, and still the sticker was stubborn. It was a mess.

Can you tell me a little about prices on what it would cost to do a smaller trailer with logos on both sides like 22"tall by 26" long
