Sadly they do not last forever, my friend has some that aren't that old but the whole side along the bottom of the shoe is completely ripped open Edit: MOM I FINALLY DID IT I'M FAMOUS!!
They deffo dont last forever, ive gone through about 12 pairs 😅 you end up falling over during winter from the lack of grip which is an excellent excuse for a new pair for xmas 😂
Agreed. The soles fall apart and you get holes in the cloth. I don't even wear them out in active settings like she does. Although they're everyday shoes, I pretty much only go out for school. The black fades pretty quickly too in my experiences.
I’ve never understood the obsession with the kitchen sink being “clean”. It’s a sink. Water from the pipes still interacts with it when it’s draining. You still clean out rotten food in it. Your sponge still becomes stinky and gross because of bacteria. Just clean it after you’re done and you’re fine is how I see it.
In my experience converse don’t last super long before the heel starts separating. Often times you can get the repaired, but sometimes they’re too far gone :(
I did cuz when riding a horse, you need shoes that have a bit of a heal incase the horse spooks and you could fall off. (Also cuz your foot could fall too far into the stirrup and that would end in disaster).
Unless it’s just a simple trail ride. We have people all the time is all sorts of shoes. Very rarely does anything happen but it still does. Very pretty mule btw
converse either last forever, or two weeks. a month into wearing mine, when i hadn’t put them through literally anything except walking through school, the bottom split wide open and the grommets were falling off. then my friend has had hers for three years and gone on hikes through the desert with them, and they’re good as new

So I used to love converse. But I had a brand new pair. Literally wore them twice and the rubber by the sides of the toe started to fall off. I only walked in them. The other pair that I used to dance in lasted longer than those. I usually take shoe glue to repair them but sadly it didn’t work and I had to throw them out.
Dude I go through a pair of platform converse a year because the regular ones souls wear down within months for me. Tbf i do walk everywhere but good on you for keeping yours so long haha
I have black and white, for black mine have a whole where the seaming is and they are very dirty, if u have a whole I reccomend sowing them, whipe them down, add new laces, and there hood to go! For white pressure wash the canvas part, whipe down the rubber, add new laces!
Her saying converse last forever I got mine for two weeks and the whole sole of the shoe came off I was walking around school with half a sole because the rest of it wouldn’t come off and two of my friends had to step on it at the same time I was pulling the shoe
I call my converse talking shoes.. I’ve had them since seventh grade and i graduated 3 years ago 😅 the reason why I call them talking shoes is cause the soles and the stitch inside have come apart on the inner parts… let’s just say cement glue (not actual cement) couldn’t hold the left one together.. still wear them tho ❤😂
Next time skip the washing machine, also if you can add some Epsom salt and about 3/4 table spoons of white vinegar to the water along with the soap or detergent you want to use. I've had a white pair of converse for 3 or 4 year's now and they're as good as new still as well as all my other white shoes

I love converse but they are like crazy expensive here . For reference a normal sports shoe is of 1500 rs. and the converse is of 6000 😢 and judging from comments that they don't last long ig i should drop the idea of saving for them
No do not do that it can hurt your shoes you need to get peroxide and dish soap, makes it together in a bowl and then take out the shoelaces and soak them in a different bowl
Actually converse don’t last forever because I got mine maybe like in the middle of July and then it started having a little holes yeah yada yada yada then one day the whole shoe side of it literally had a huge hole in them so now I have new shoes and they’re better than converse
When she said converse last for ever i just knew i had to protest so like i would wear my converse alot for like a year not as much as her but alot and they have the fattest whole in them ever and that hole got there in like a couple months of having them
Everytime I get converse they don't last through the school year and they get holes when I'm only wearing them to school it makes me so sad because I love converse
Converse are amazing. I wear my moms old ones from high school. I rotate between black high tops, white platform high tops, and then Jordan’s but I rarely wear the jordans
My converse have been through it and I still wear them 😅. I accidentally burned part of the white siding off. I took them on a 5 day camp trip 😬 And when my mother cleaned them they bleached a little 🤭🤭
My converse don’t even last a year anymore 💔 I actually stopped buying them. I’ve worn them since high school (I’m 30 now) and the quality has went downhill so much.
My converse never lasted forever, they would get holes, rip apart at the sides and then get a hole trough the sole of the shoe, I did have one pair I was so sad I sad to throw out. The soles had holes on both shoes, the sides had rips and they had a hole in the fabric part 🙈 Did the quality magicaly get better since around 2012 when I had mine?
Converse absolutely do NOT last forever, and it sucks. I have a pair of limited edition, and even though i managed to keep them white, the insides of the shoes are completely worn out so that the plastic heel reinforcements are sticking out, completely unwearable condition but they just mean so much for me. I only wore them for 2 years. 😢

Converse are probably the LEAST long lasting shoe lmao. They tear and the bottom rips off within a year most of the time. If your going for longitivtiy (and foot health) I recommend spending a little extra for some berkinstok boots. (Yes the Sandle brand) (mine were my moms in the 80’s) (They litterally have gone through 2 generations of people with only a few scuffs.)
I’ve only had my converse for two years but there’s a hole in the bottom of it or something (I can’t see it) but whenever it rains my foot gets soaked and I love my shoes sm 💔
