You are not kidding, this has rocked my world. This idea appears to be just what I have been looking for. This works so well for me on the driving range, can't wait to play my next game. Thank you, thank you. I played today. This such a simple thing and yet, and yet; what an amazing change to my all my long clubs, especially the driver. Slice gone and so much more distance, 20 metres added to my driver, 3 wood is now as long as my driver used to be.

Over 60 years ago our club professional tried to teach me the same teaching in your video. Unfortunately he did not have the ability to communicate the same as you. I’ve played golf for 30 years. I’ve been abow to get to scratch and even shoot several rounds in the 60’s. All along the way, the feel of the right arm movement is one I’ve never been able to figure out. I saw you discuss this in one of your livestreams awhile back and then I saw AMG video on this. Honestly, I’ve never pured so many shots so consistently in my life. This understanding of how the right arm works has to be one of the holy grails of the golf swing.

So the first move in the downswing is not pushing off the trail foot or after you drop the trail arm to get proper sequence?

I've fought over the top my entire life, and I've been at or near scratch for more than 40 years. Lately, I've battled some nagging minor injuries that had my scores and enthusiasm slipping. Your video was so simple that I nearly brushed it aside. It was a good thing I didn't. After about 15 shots while warming up for my next round, your explanation clicked. I went out and shot two under par, and hit some absolutely pure shots. Coincidence? No way! Thanks for a great lesson!

I've borrowed a feel from Shawn Clement: I get to the top of the backswing and feel that I'm about to cast a fishing rod in the direction of a person standing on my target line on the trail side. I don't actually make the cast but my arms lower when I begin the transition to the downswing. So far it's working better than anything else I've tried. I'll see what success I can find with your technique.

Great video Kyle. You have a gift for explaining the swing in simple terms. I am personally battling with what I believe are 2 schools. The first "Bender/Morris" style swing with the thought of move the arms down at the ball and just turn the body (obviously happen simultaneously) and the second rotational school which preach turn the body and just let your arms be passive. I conceptually prefer your swing thoughts to the rotational school but struggle with heel shots when I try to implement them due to early extension. Keep up the great work. I'll keep grinding.

i've been golfing for four months now, and I learned how to shallow differently that works really well for explosive power and its using my left lead rest, more dominant than my right arm how you explain it ...when I use my left lead wrist, more dominant at the top to sling into the shallow position " "pronation "everything else comes natural..

First off, awesome video! Second, the speed piece is missing here. I’d love to see a video that reconciles generating speed with this movement. It seems like in the full swing, this position is nothing more than a checkpoint that you pass through during the motion of throwing the club violently outward behind and away from you. “aka. drawing the arrow from the quiver”. Without the speed element, this motion could drastically reduce clubhead speed

While this looks easy to do, many of us still struggle. Would you say the thing that is crucial for this to work is proper sequencing? We need to replace the first move from the top from being the torso rotation and to being the lowering of the arms followed by the torso, shoulders and arms? Right?

If you're hitting it fat then you're hanging back on your back foot. You need to combine the unfolding arm with shifting your pressure on to your lead foot, preferably starting just before you complete your backswing.

Where is that trail hands thumb pointing as you lower the club? For me it always feels like if I let the club fall down or pull my arms down that the right hand just kind of slams into the ground which slams the club steep af into the ground

I’m sorry, I don’t understand… 9:42 I think Kyle’s referencing two different numbers on the Trackman. His original path was 11+ (second number from the right) due to the cone. Then he compare’s to Rory who is a 1+. Then Kyle hits again and says he’s gone from an 8 to a 2? But the second number from the right is an 8+? Do these numbers move around on the Trackman? Am I missing something?

You’re not alone buddy. You’re not alone! I connect better with Justin Rose’s thought process 4:32; let the LEFT arm sweep down the front of the chest until it reaches the belt line, then swing away. By doing so, JR is naturally lowering his right arm and unfolding his right elbow as Kyle suggests. Note the caveat; JR DOES NOT turn his hips right away. All the more reason to slow the takeaway and downswing. Just found this, which is more technical, but suggests the same mind thought as Kyle: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YfvVnWwhQFc.htmlsi=_xGf4zP438YIldSR

Not my favorite drill here it promotes extention of the trail arm which should actually be slightly bent on impact , no need to open your arm like this if you shift your weight back correctly the club should shallow naturally this this drill is the equivalence of the loop drill that is basically a drill to manufacture the shallow movement for players that can't open their lead hip and transfer their weight

I’ve seen this before. It’s basically the feeling of lowering a dumbbell while during a bicep curl, as you do your downswing. Replace this feeling at the top of the swing with the one you currently have- which is to turn your shoulders at the top, and producing an over the top swing.
