I love the look of this effect, and it seems so simple once you know how it’s done. Anyone can do this with a bit of patience, and After Affects of course. My main criticism here is that the water doesn’t really follow the movements of the talents that well. It makes it seem more like two separate entities moving independently rather than moving in harmony. Other than that though, no complaints. I’d love to see more of this kind of stuff.
@@redactual9177 yeah. Like, they are in control of the water so they wouldn't be spilling it. Maybe when she's still learning it might not be as stable but still way less drips. The dripping almost makes it look like they're "airbending" the water by creating an air bubble around the water and some of the water is slipping through. They should have full control of the water, not look like they're struggling to hold it.
Wow, thanks a lot for this video! I only roughly guessed how this effect is done, but it's much better to see your tutorial and learn everything in detail, thanks again! P.S. Every time I see Yannick my mood is filled with positive and joy!
How do you make it look so good? I'm talking about the final video like look at 9:52 or 9:56 or 10:05 they all like like amazing movie shots but look at 10:09 it looks flat and youtube quality like my videos.. How do you make this difference? Any tutorial and how did you do the this? And how did you make the sound desgin for the finished shot? Please anyone respond.. I would love to level up my videos
There is a plug-in called trapcode element (seperate from normal trapcode) that’s GREAT for fire and water and stuff... it sick!! But it’s paid and u can’t get it for free lol
for those who tried this but the caustics effect was not working right: try merging This tutorial with the one from production crate. go to the "compositing" section of the video (its towards the end) and play around w alpha matting an adjustment layer above the water layer to the line animation or track matte layer etc. you'll have a similar effect but the turbulent displace is too strong and can't be adjusted much
Thanks for the tuto! NOTE FOR LATEST AE USERS: We no longer need to create this Track Matte layer, so you can just leave it out and select "Line Animation" for the Luma Matte, without changing anything else for the same result ^^ (it doesn't have the matte dropdown anymore anyway so you will have to do like this)
Ok so it's an easy tutorial and the output is not that good I would do water simulation in blender or Houdini than I will composit in after effect that will have a lot of work but output will be great.
I can't stand the water pouring off. It doesn't happen in either show and if it was really happening, the whole mass of water would shrink from the constant loss.
Siempre he notado que el resultado final de cada video no me convence - puesto que lo noto muy cutre - A la vez es gracioso - por que lo enseñan de manera correcta pero el resultado del efecto es muy malo! - y eso pasa en todos sus videos -
Amazing Tutorials Like All The Time. After Seeing This Tutorial, I Imagine Myself Like A Spiderman. Wooohohohohohoohhohoohh. Let's Fly High Together In The Editing Universe. 😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😎
I did it with cc particle world and displacement map 😀😀,.. but please do "Harry Potter dual" next. The only thing missing from y'all is the Harry Potter spell dual 🔥🔥🔥
In 2021, how difficult would it be to recreate the animated water "tube" that enters a room and its edge mimics the face of the person rfom the movie The Abyss? (that was state of the hard back in 1989).
