ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
In this video, I will share with you a step-by-step guide on how to create your first simulation with the NS3 network simulator. In short, we will do a practical part and review some important concepts of the simulator. Among the concepts, we will cover the key concepts of Node, Communication Channel, Net Device, Topology Helper and Application. We will see a secret formula to use these concepts to create any simulation in NS3. In the practical part, we will follow a set of steps, we will check if the NS3 installation is correct. Then, we will use the first.cc file, available in the examples/tutorial folder, as the starting point for our simulation. We will make a copy of this file with the command cp examples/tutorial/first.cc scratch/myfirst.cc and then run the simulation with the command ./ns3 --run scratch/myfirst.
