I have been looking for an easy to follow video to learn how to do this. All videos, that I found, are for people who are mid level to expert. Thank you for explaining this for beginners!!!!!!!
You are an EXCELLENT teacher. I’ve watched others try to teach me this & as a beginner I was lost. They zipped through it so fast I couldn’t keep up but you, you were awesome!!!!!!
Thank you SO much for this video! I watched other tutorials that showed how to layer on design studio but never explained how to actually PRINT the layers separately. This is such a big help.
Baby Girl...I was literally pulling my hair out trying to figure out this layering thing, watched a bazillion RU-vid videos and now I finally understand...I think. I'm fixing to cut and layer, so we'll see! Thank you so, so much for step-by-step instructions AND not talking incessantly about other things!!! I am now your newest subscriber!!!
Thank you so much, I have tried so many times and my layering never came out properly. I watched your video and it's perfect, I am so grateful that I stumbled upon your video, Please keep them coming. your instructions are very detailed and to the point.
So....you have to have red vinyl..cut it..take it up..then put black vinyl on mat to cut....right? I missed that part of where to put the different colors on the mat to cut individually. Otherwise...GREAT VIDEO!!
Hi Kathy! Thanks for stopping by! What you do is take your first color & place it where you want it to cut the heart or first shape (make sure it matches where you have your virtual mat in your software). Then, you can have your wording on your mat as well as your shape, just put it in another spot on your mat & make sure it matches the same spot on your virtual mat. That way it all cuts at the same time. When it gets finished cutting, take it off the mat, if you want too (or you can leave it on the mat as I do) weed all pieces, then I take the wording & put it directly into the shape, smooth it out & then put my transfer tape on the entire design & them remove the design from the mat! It is really simple to do to be honest!! =)
The best video I have watched yet you talk so slow and I was so easy for me to follow I was wondering if you could please help me or show me how to upload something from Google to my Silhouette or inkscape how to do those
Depending on the size that you choose for your pieces, yes, you would put 1 piece aside and cut the other and then do the same as you cut the other piece. However, if your pieces are small enough, you could cut both pieces at the same time as long as you line them up on your mat properly as you have them lined up on your mat in your studio software. The choice is up to you ! =) Happy Crafting !
