Thanks Kyle. I used your teaching here to make some various sized vacuum pods in vectric desktop pro. I agree it would be nice to duplicate toolpaths but this template import works. Appreciate your teaching ability. Great job.

Two issues I saw here, why were no parts placed on sheet 1 when nested and why didn't the tool paths place them selves on sheet one when you moved one end on that sheet, they didn't even drop into the sheet toolpath list properly when you dragged them up to sheet 1. Bugs with Vectric?

Thanks for the video 😊 I would like to kindly ask You for help. Let's say, we have part "A" and part "B", that are next to each other and have 1 shared toolpath. This toolpath is routed 2 times- first during part "A" is being routed and then during part "B" is being routed as well. Is there any option, how to not repeat the shared toolpath? Thanks in advance! All the best

Hi, great video! Just one question, once I then save my tool path, could I then open a new file and Import the tool path I have saved on to it? Without having to re do a whole new tool path for a new project ?

Did you draw the cabinet side in vectric or did you import it from another software?

How would you create a toolpath to create a profile on the edge of solidwood. I can raise the wood above the spoilboard so the profile bit can have access to the complete edge.

Is there a way to get VCarve to "number" the parts after nesting? I have a job where I need to cut numerous parts that are very similar in shape. I need to assemble them in a specific order. When I nest the parts it works fine, but I have no idea which part is which so assembly will be very difficult. Any idea how one could accomplish this?

Excellent, Kyle. I am confused, though. you created the template from a sheet that only had cabinet sides on it. The toolpaths only related to the profile, shelf holes, text and groove on those sides. So when you used that template on the new example that contained cabinet sides and other pieces, how the the software know what toolpaths on the template to use on those new pieces?

Sorry Grant, I should have made that a little more clear in the video. The reason it worked is because all of those parts were on the Profile layer that I created and I associated that layer with the Profile toolpath. For that reason, anything on that layer will be cut with the Profile toolpath. I hope that clears it up for you!
