@Jong Lee..........TechNolli will see you through "Thick" and Thin.....Don't worry.....and (as they always say in KungFu movies). May Buddha Bless you !!! Lol !
Glad I found this. Been struggling the last two days lost in a two year old Mohave Vanilla process with some files now different (updated) etc. Prefer Catalina anyway being more new. Will try this tonight after work. First build ever. Probably should’ve started with Windows for first time, but here we are. I'd like to see an install guide - with associated/required files - for use with an HP Elitebook Folio 9470m or 9480m laptop. They are excellent laptops for their time (7-years-old) and are extremely easy to purchase at a reasonable price. Thanks
Thank you very much, your guide followed step by step has given its results, after so many weeks the only guide that works. The only problem I had is that it doesn't read the network card (wifi), has this happened to you? Let me know and best wishes for the channel
Thank you for your help, with your EFI file I got a better performance in my Hackintosh it is working good now but :) I'm still fighting with the boot screen, it is not going automatically to the system, I always have to click in my HD Catalina to go to the system, after that, everything is OK. I have only one HD in my Hackintosh. I forgot... it is working with my GEFORCE GTX680 with a good resolution. Thanks for your help I think your videos are the best explained and easy to understand how to get a good working Hackintosh.
Hi! Nice howto! I have some question about hardware, you know if VGA RX 5500 RT works on hackintosh? My config is MB Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming, i7-9700K, SSD XPG S11 Pro 1TB. I config my BIOS with same as the video options, but when i'll boot on the PenDrive nothing gonna happen. Just back to the Drive bootable selection screen.
Wow, its easy, thanks alot 🙏 Can u suggest to me hp z420 with rx470 kexts my bulit-in audio speaker isn’t work too and when computer goes sleep its wont turn on again. Thanks
Hey man! Thanks for the tutorial. Quick question though, would this apply to a haswell system (i3 4130) provided that I get the correct files? Or should I follow your Opencore haswell tutorial?
@@breaux555... I thought about this as well as i was waiting for the terminal to copy the OS files to the disk. and then i went back to get a Ivy Bridge one.
Great tutorial! 😁 My installation went through but my rx 5700 xt doesn't show up so I have to use internal graphics and for some reason, when using internal graphics the screen is pink/green. Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks for the guide, I used it and everything works fine until the 23th minute stage then the machine stop completely (2 minutes to the end of installation), not even the mouse works anymore. I've tried several times but it doesn't change the situation. What could it be, according to you? My configuration is as follows: i7 9700k, MB Asus Tuf Z390 plus gaming wi-fi, HD ssd Crucial 1TB, 64 GB Ram G.Skill TridentZ RGB, PSU NZXT C850, GPU MSI Radeon RX580 8GB OC.
I have done this before but complete forgot. As I am following the video I am stuck on downloading Clover onto the USB. At 8:43 after clicking check now it just says "Install". I am unable to download it onto the USB. Any help would be awesome.
Hey! Great tutorial! How would this process be different for using the Intel UHD Graphics 630 instead of a graphics card? I have i7 9700 and ASRock B365M Pro4 but I am having difficulties getting into the macOS installer...
Good question Yeeehees! This motherboard would not work with onboard Intel UHD 630 graphics. Many others will. The ASRock B365M may work fine. Just buy it from somewhere that you can return iot if it doesn't. Thanks!
TechNolli thanks for your response! I unfortunately have it for a year already so I cannot return it. I have seen successful builds with this motherboard, but for me I just cannot get into the installer. Read vanilla guide 4 times at least and also tried your EFI folder and others similar setups. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks a lot
Thanks for the video and information. After I configure the EFI partition and place the flash drive into the PC, I get the Clover loader. When I choose EFI boot from the flash, the loader fails and tells me there is no bootable disk in the machine and the High Sierra installer never starts. Do you know what I can try at this point to get the installer to kick off?
Man, great tutorial, I followed it step by step but when after it opens the clover bootloader and I press enter to install (the part where people swear it gets frozen) after some lines showing it goes to black screen and no source is detected in the monitor... (MB gigabyte z390 gaming X/ intel i5 9600k i use the integrated graphics, 2x8 corsair ddr8 3200, wd black 500gb nvme) what should I do?
Dear sir. I tried all ways to create bootable USB for my Lenovo Thinkpad X240 laptop. But no success. May be I am doing mistake by choosing my motherboard type (it says Haswell type from 2014, core i7 vPro). Could you please check also for my type of motherboard what exactly I am doing wrong and give some advices. I really appreciate your suggestions. With respect Zak
Hi Luca, APFS is faster: copying and pasting a folder is basically instantaneous, because the file system basically points to the same data twice. And improvements to metadata mean it’s very quick to do things like determine how much space a folder is taking up on your drive. Plus many new features... :). Thanks!
Check out this new video! I am using the latest version of Opencore and this was done on an Asus z390 E-Gaming motherboard. Thanks! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mOQ0jz1o14I.html
I don’t have access to a Mac with Catalina, would anyone be willing to send me a zip file with the boot loader that I can download and throw on a jump drive?
I’ve been in Mojave’s for a while now. It’s been so long I forgot what it took to do an install. Lol. Your video is the best there is hands down. Do one for the next version too!!!!! Thanks man.
Hello, Do I install Clover Configurator on the Host Mac that I use to to create the boot loader? Do I download it on the host and install, or unzip it (does it prompt where to uninstall or unzip to?), Or do I install it on the Hackintosh after I boot to it? As you can tell I am quite confused about what to do with clover configurator as far as where to “put” clover. Ahh, now I see it on this video. Some sites do not explain to install clover config. from the host computer and direct it to the USB drive. Thank you for your explanation!
I followed all of this and got pretty far, now I'm getting stuck at the black screen with the apple logo and the loading bar. The bar is completely full but stays here forever...any thoughts or possibly something I missed?
everyone who complains about not having a mac just doesnt make sense, these days one of your friends probably has a mac, and if you are not friends with them then tell them i will you 10 bucks for you to let me use your mac to create a bootable usb drive
@@TechNolli fortunately i have a macbook, i was just writing that cause in every hackintosh videos theres always some people saying "what about from windows"
I am getting to the point where you are installing the bootloader, but get the following error: Cannot install without ensuring the file system is read-write. What do you suggest?
After i click on BootMacOS install only black screen appear. Dont know why? I have amd a10 7850k and trying to install High Sierra from USB made in original mac.

Hello! If i make these steps, the windows from my laptop will be erased? Thanks! One more question tho! I can't boot into my Hackintosh since, i installed clover uefi from multibeast and now when i boot it in verbose mode, it says "Cannot find driver" ACPI/Library/Caches... etc and it restarts. Can you help me with that problem? If not, i will try to install Niresh Catalina and making your steps to make a usb with vanilia catalina, and then installing it again. Thanks, have a nice day.
hi, the code stops after a couple of seconds and does not continue, how could i fix this ? my configuration: I9900K 32G of RAM MB from ASUS be quiet dark rock on th last line the daily date appears and everything froze up

Hello from Israel great videos. the process of making the install USB looks complicated. I went and bought the Lenovo M93p today. I have an iMac AIO, the question is , in order to make a Catalina install, do I have to be on a Catalina computer to make it ? thanks Daniel
Everything goes pretty well until the actual booting screen (after the white letters scroll on the black background), and the Apple logo flashes on a pink screen and the whole thing stops (returns "no signal input"). Any idea how to fix this?
Hi Technolli, I try Revision to install to 5103 with your video shown then hit the button Install then the Clover EFI package can be download. But it also install another Clover Configurator v 5.4.3.1. The default I download was Clove Config v5.9.3.0. I can continue the steps but when checked with the ACPI Fix 300-series RTC bug Enable option, in my config.plist do not has this option. Does it is a problem or due to the new Clover Config debugged? Any comment for me, I am going to complete all the steps of config.plist process.? For the correct ion of my question of missing Fix 300 -series RTC Enable option, I am edit the config.plist of Haswell, that is not coffee lake config.plist. Thanks again.
Hi I'm sure my config.plist is the problem. My system start up ones but when I change the EFI to the hard disk it when to the clover screen and I click to my Catalina HD it does not start any more. Can you help me please? My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Thanks
Greetings... You are some man for one man! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a proud student of your work. My first ever build too. I slavishly followed all you steps - well anytime I tried to use my own brain I screwed up :-) - but I just replayed the video and in the end (about 5 hours) I got there. Respect.
@@TechNolli Not to pester you, but just to prove your ability to teach an old dog new tricks. I followed another RU-vidr who was showing how to fix sleep issues and it totally killed my Hackinsosh - ended up with a black screen with a crossed thru circle and the machine was completely unresponsive.. . I totally freaked out... but then just went back to the start and reinstalled from my (your) thumb drive... so I'm back up in running... Moral of the story... always follow TechNolli. Keep well my man. G.
I don't want to use an existing computer and I know what motherboard to use. Can you recommend me the other other hardware I can use. Also, can I use my Macbook pro to make the OS.
Hi TechNolli, I've hit a snag downloading kexts in Configurator for my TinyM93P build. The FakeSMC.kext download gives secure connection errors. Searching for alternate source gives more SSL errors or file removed. Any ideas or alternate source? Thanks.
My computer will not boot into clover, I think it might have something to do with the fact that clover does not create a second partition to the flash drive. My version just puts the Mac os installer with the clover efi bootloader folders. Any suggestions on how to fix my issue?
I bought this motherboard specifically for a hackintosh since it’s a good midranged board but I felt like I bought a lemon after getting “apfs_module_start” errors using tonymac method. With your tutorial and efi I actually got through the installation without problems but using intel 630 (Without graphics acceleration) but I’m gonna be ordering the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT since it’s now supported on Catalina. Thanks mate!
You make the best guides on the internet (in my opinion) re. OpenCore. I'd like to thank you VERY MUCH for the time and effort. Your calm, enthusiastic and fun way of describing the process has really helped me get to grips. I hope its not too rude- but I'm attaching a link to the issues I'm having with my hackintosh setup. I followed your guides, get crashes, tried doing a vanilla install (from the OpenCore guide) it crashes. Crashes from Clover since Oct / Nov. The system runs great under windows but OSX Hackintosh is not stable. Any help would be so kind - www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/h0nuaw/i3_9100f_b360m_rx_580_10155_opencore_hackintosh/
No chance of creating a usb bootloader from windows? I rarely have friends/family/relatives who are using mac.. most of us are windows/linux users. I could not find a mac unit to create the bootloader :( I wish I could find a tutorial that can install hackintosh ground up with no mac machine needed. I tried niresh style but it wont work on my unit sadly
I found the way to work with the Catalina HD and it works good but 1 the boot is not automatic and 2 Ones you get on Catalina the resolution is horrible, what can I do to fix this problems? Thanks

Mine got stuck in the last two minutes remaining. Any suggestions? I have an Asus TUF Gaming z390 Board with Intel Integrated Graphics and Samsung M2 EVO
this is the BEST instruction if I've every seen! I was able to install macOS. I have a trouble though. I can't seem to have the drive to independently boot without the thumb drive. It says when I don't have the drive the there are no image found.
So a couple of questions. I noticed that in your Dell Laptop Hackintosh Video (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DEcpE-cual8.html). Towards the end, during the .plist (SMIBIOS) portion, in that video you generated some keys, but then copy-pasted some numbers from the serial box to the board serial number box. I was wondering why the steps were different between these two videos? Also, would you happen to have a resource that would explain why this portion was specific to the Dell? I was wanting to Hackintosh a Dell E5450 as was doing research before making the plunge. Thanks!
Hi, I’ve gotten to the point of installing the os but I’m stuck at apfs_module_start: 1683. Looked on tonymacx86 but nothing seems to make sense, I’m using an ASU’s x299 e-gaming mobo i7 7740x cpu gtx 960 4gb and 16gb of ram, wondering if there is an easy fix to this?
This successfully worked for lenovo x1 yoga gen3 i7-8650u kaby lake r generation cpu system with lenovo's thunderbolt 3 gen1/gen2 docking station attached, i.e. it sees tbt3 attached docking station devices including the builtin wired ethernet hardware.
@@TechNolli All thanks to you as i've tried following three different set of instructions on how to create clover bootloader in the past and not successfully been able to get through any of them as they assumed an interest in learning how to figure out what choices to make versus just telling us what was necessary to get things working. Would you normally expect that once you have a clover bootloader setup that allows successfully booting into the macOS installer and utilities environment then you are going to be good wrt the actual macOS installer? I ask because i was able to get the macOS install to start, and pickup after the first reboot, and then make it all the way to the end and reboot but at that point when i boot clover and select that partition clover boot process just throws up a single underscore '_' in top left and never moves on. Unexpectedly i switched over to using opencore bootloader and it was able to boot that installed macOS setup suggesting my clover bootloader is lacking some necessary setting to boot the installed macOS vs just the recovery/install environment.
