East Africa's First Floating Bridge! 🇰🇪 Kenya, Mombasa $17 m Likoni floating bridge 

Africa, Kenya: I read that East Africa’s First Floating Bridge is in Mombasa, so I decided to go visit it! It's called Likoni Floating Bridge and connects Mombasa island to Mombasa Mainland South.
It's long 1.2 km and it was built because it's estimated that about 300,000 pedestrians and 6,000 vehicles cross the channel daily, causing immense congestion during peak demand hours. So the ferry wasn't enough, they had to build a bridge.
The Likoni floating bridge cost $17 million and it's temporary. In the meantime, they are building the Mombasa Gate Bridge that will cost almost $2 billion!
