‪@andybloss9539‬ gave us an amazing tour of some single track, double track and some of the hill climbs around Ashland and Locust Gap PA. Book a tour with Andy through famous readings website if you're unfamiliar with the area. We just ran into Andy on this day but if the tour is anything like what we did, it's well worth it. I'm grateful for the hospitality Andy, Nate, Skyler and the rest of the guys who were familiar with the trails showed us. I had a flat tire early in the ride and everyone offered a helping hand, tools and even sourced a tube for me so I didn't have to go all the way back to the truck and get my own. At that time they knew me for about 10 minutes. Terry ‪@ADVRally‬ even gave me his bike to hit the climb we were sat in front of when I had a flat so I didn't miss out. It was one of those days out on the trail that everything worked out for everyone. As far as I could tell everyone had a blast. I certainly did.

Nasty Nate tamed the BRP XR650L. He whipped that thing across the trail effortlessly. I had a great time. I'm installing the M5b tomorrow

Great riding area, I’m down in Philly and always looking for places to get in the dirt. The 450 seemed to do great in that single track, looked like you guys had a blast!

@@anthonyridesphilly famous reading outdoors membership is pretty cheap, especially for how much land there is to ride. I’d recommend it if you haven’t already been. 450 does great, just a bit heavy, have to hover over the clutch but still plenty capable.

I’m going to check out this membership. Thanks for the info. I just picked up a CRF recently, coming off my adventure bike it feels featherlight lol. The clutch is demanding tho. Happy riding!

Nice bike, what pressure are u running front and back? That single track in the trees looks hairy. I got the same bike recently, I’m 6 ft and am thinking about a lowering link. Are you running stock tires? I just replaced mine with tusk Dsport adventure but haven’t ridden them off-road yet. Enjoy the ride

@@stevewasilow5556 Good to hear you got the 450rl! Congrats. I’ve tried a few different tires but my favorite off-road combo is a golden tyre fatty in the front around 12 psi and an irc m5b in the rear, about 10-12 psi. I have a tube in the front but now I run a tubliss system in the rear. I’m only 5’8” so I put a ride engineering lowering link and pulled the forks up in the triple clamp. I think it handles a bit better and the rear feels more planted with that link on there. Generally I think the 450rl is sensitive to sag, different fork height, fork and shock settings. They all make a big difference so I’d encourage you to try different settings and see where you feel the most comfortable if you decide to do some more off-roading.

Is there a big difference between crf450rl vs xr400r
@ratherberiding5964
@ratherberiding5964 2 месяца назад
I haven’t ridden an xr400 but I’m sure they are alot different. The suspension is better on the 450rl, fuel injection vs carburetor would be alot different power delivery. The 450 is fast revving, easy to stall, the 400 is probably the opposite. They are both heavy and they’re both Honda’s.
