What a great card for your son 💙 When my daughter started college a few years ago she was several hours away. I did my best to mail her a card each week to help her feel not so far away. She even sent me a few as well. I hope your son enjoys his college experience!

Oh wow! We drove through Arizona on our way out there, but we were further north. I was surprised by how many trees and green areas there were! I wasn’t expecting that at all.🌲

I love the backstory to this card, such a sweet reminder for your son of his home and the people who love him. The Santa Monica Pier is huge and beautiful. I grew up in the area, I remember it well. Such a beautiful place to visit. Were you able to do anything else? That particular area is so pretty. Did you see the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Los Angeles temple, it's not that far from the Santa Monica Pier and is also quite beautiful. The grounds and building are gorgeous. You should recommend it to your son if he has free time and would like to see a beautiful building with beautiful landscaping that is free and interesting, that is a good place to check out. I love these videos, your channel is such a light to our community and I appreciate you more than you know. Thank you so much, Rose! That’s so cool that you grew up in that area and are familiar with it. The only other thing we were able to do was go to the Griffith Observatory and see the Hollywood sign. We had such a short time there. We arrived in LA at 11pm on Saturday night and flew out on Monday, and we had to get him settled and go shopping for basics and groceries, so it was an absolute whirlwind, but we did what we could. He’s there for four years so hopefully we’ll get a chance to visit again. I’m so glad you enjoyed the card! Thanks so much, my friend!🥰
