This is the Summit of the East End of Rundle (#EEOR), 8500' above Canmore. Pretty windy. Great views of the Spray lakes valley. Hiked July 5th with friends. 900 meter elevation gain. This video will give you a good description of the type of terrain you will encounter and whether it is something your skill level will allow you to do. Considered easy by Allan Kane's book and I agree.A busy route.

No worries Jay! I love climbing and am continually trying to show people what the hike entails. Glad it helped. I have many more online and will have another 15 by the end of summer. Stay tuned!

Mark Hanson ....Nice work Mark! Been up there a few times. Great views and not too long to be back to the car. Cheers!

@@HarlanFox--Scrambles - Thanks! We are heading back to Canmore in June. Do you have any recommendations for something similar in difficulty to EEOR? We have done Ha Ling twice and EEOR once. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

@@markhanson4680 ..Well I would say you should likely do Lady Macdonald which is across the highway from EEOR. Another great one which is a 15 minute drive is Yamnuska. I have videos of both of these. A great one just south of Canmore is Windtower.

Another great video Harlan. I completed this scramble today - September 10, 2017. Nice day with very little smoke from the forest fires, but it was VERY windy.

Thank you for this! Hiking in a week and other videos I watched looked very sketchy, don’t think they went the same way as you. Gives me hope that I can do it!

..This hike is doable for most people in decent shape with determination Kira. You will do just fine!

Thank you so much! Fear is my biggest obstacle. I will just feel the fear and do it!

Hi Harlan amazing video! Just wondering how long it took you to get to the point at 4:30? Because I think my time would be limited to 2 hours! Thank you!
@HarlanFox--Scrambles
@HarlanFox--Scrambles 7 лет назад
Thanks! That would be less than an hour to 4:30 likely 30-40 minutes I'm guessing.

Is the trail well marked all the way to the top? The last climbing leg in your video there really doesn't seem to be a clear path...I hope I can try this hike this July.

Javier Jimenez .......If you are going in July you will have no issues. There will be many many people on the trail. Very easy to get to the top as far as markings go. Enjoy!
