Aw man, I am in love! I am from St.Louis and I remember my father went to L.A. and came back to St.Louis and put hydraulics on a candy apple two door Cadillac with Daytona's. I will never forget it and no one in St.Louis had never seen nothing like that before and his friend had an Impala black with switches. Man this bring back memories because as kids we were involved and it is a lifestyle, from that time until now I have always loved lowriders and old cars. Best Bad Ass low riders are in East LA!! I was born in San Pedro, Ca. My father used to take us kids to Whittier just to see the low riders. This was late 60's early 70''s. Love it! Moved to northern NM a little city named Espanola, which they claim is the low rider capital. I dont think so, they need to see the cars in East LA. OH MY GOSH, BEAUUUUUTIIIIIIFULLLLL! What a art, what a talent.

old56skool I was stationed in Hawaii back in 1979, there was a car club starting with the chicanos from schofield barracks Army and Kaneohe Marines, car club was TOGETHER..HAWAII , I left the island in 82 i don't know if that group continued..😎✌

I have not cruised there since 1977, left for the military never came back. My buddies were in the Imperials, Click, group and Orpheus. I have a hard time looking at 4 door Lincolns and Caddis from the late 70 to the 90s.

Freddy Hernandez It started shutting down back in 79 then stopped in the 80s but the cars moved to other locations, cruising whittier blvd started back in the 1930s..I heard it's coming back, but these youngsters gotta stop acting stupid or the cops will shut it down again..

1978-79 still in High School I had the pleasure of cruisin with LIFESTYLE car club (Bar) rip. He worked at Mobil gas station on Bev. and Atlantic where LIFESTYLE made their appearance every friday night. After hours we hit Hollywood blvd.......man...the good old days
Miss my low rider from back in the 80's cruising on Crenshaw Bl. but have mad love for my homies from ELA Cali born and raised fo-sho use to hang out with them at Whittier Narrows Park. Damn I miss that. Ya'll be cool on them Daytons not sure about it now but back in the day they use to call em Killa Daytons. Miss my 61' Impala Gettin close to retirement and thinking about building another one. Nice video yall brought back memories.
