When you made that right on Chef Mentor over the tracks you were in hill Billy town I remember growing up we would never go across those tracks because it was hardly anyone living on that side
I just went back to N.O to visit my paw paw off of Bullard, there's a park that sits on the corner where we played. Sometimes I wish I can move my family out of N.O, it's not the same anymore. I love my state, but it's not for me anymore
Good looks on all the New Orleans videos, Charlie. A lot of ppl claim the East is the worst part but it isn't. It just got bad after Katrina hit cuz after they tore down all the projects most of the residents were displaced in the East along with other ppl from various neighborhoods. That's why the the conditions of the homes you see here in the East aren't too bad
I'm just trying to get rid of all the footage lol. There will probably 2 more. One at night and one of Lil Wayne neighbor hood. I'm actually in Baton Rouge.
@@CharlieBo313 I know South Baton Rouge is bad. That's where Boosie from. Garfield st. I also know that Midway place is real hood too on plank rd and the surrounding neighborhoods
It’s simply because black people vote black people in to office and then black people voted into office take advantage of the black people that voted them into office.
I remember growing up in the East in the 80's, was totally different. We moved out of state in 87 then came back for a year in 92. It was totally different. Sad to see it this way, I remember when the East was popping. Going to the Plaza or any of the retail stores. Now it just looks like a wasteland.
I lived in the East during the 80s also in the Oak Brook apts. That area was awesome then. Had lots to do and places to eat. So sad that it's this way now.
I lived in NO east in the 70's. It was totally different! Had the brand new plaza just built, shopping and restirants everywhere etc etc... Now? An abandoned wasteland.... Sadly, like many areas of New Orleans. Many people moved away, including myself... But, in some ways I still miss it.
My neighbors across the street from me in Metarie built nice new homes out here in the 80s on adjoining lots to be with family. I now worry about them living out there and they have had incidents. I agree it is the worst part of New Orleans.
It’s so surreal seeing where I’m from in this video. The hurricane basically destroyed N.O. East but the East is not all “the hood” or as bad as people are making it out to be. I have so many good memories of these streets and despite the clickbait title, I’m glad this video was made.
As someone who grew up in a Scottish housing scheme I can’t understand how these rough areas all have nice cars parked outside, none of us had cars! If you owned a car you were almost a celebrity. And what’s up with all the overhead cables in US?
Kiah_thedoll until then, i’ma be thuggin behind the project building, smokin a fire b with the ghetto children, plottin on a way that we can make a million million...lawd
Literally missed every hood in the east except Tara Lane. But the east all together is all black literally. Even those big houses are black people but some of those big homes have some messed up kids in them so you can almost die anywhere in the east. Literally do your research on New Orleans East.
@@MasterMind171 the east has the most murders in the city but it’s also where people from other parts of town move. So the East is really really dangerous. You can get robbed and killed for literally nothing.
lol the east is not all black . some areas around michoud (village de l’est and versailles) are mostly vietnamese and there are a few white ppl still in eastover and venetian isles, and a couple around joe brown park. but its fasho over 90% black
Ha! Had you braved your way through the giant puddle at 7:00 and gone a bit further, you would have gotten to the biggest pile of tires that you have ever seen! You made a wise choice though. In NOLA, never drive through a puddle unless you know what is on the bottom. This neighborhood is the setting for an excellent memoir, "The Yellow House" by Sarah M. Broom.
Again nothing bad here at all, remember back in the 80's and 90's when people actually lived in those places that looked like a bomb hit it, not in the 2,000's too many laws got passed......nowadays the projects got central air & heat......kids in this generation have completely no idea what ghetto is.....I have NEVER seen one video from Charliebo313 where a street was crowded & he had to wait over a minute for niggas to move out the street or ask him what the fuck he doing on there street..... this use to happen in the ghettos in the 70's,80's & 90's
Interview the ppl in new orleans instead of ride around get to know the ppl not everyone evil down here some ppl are good ppl you would love to make friends with
@I speak The truth they all are not Losers. A lot are poor and the rent in the east is the cheapest compared to other parts of the city. They gentrifying the city and pushing poor working class ppl out there. With that comes the worse ppl as well, but a lot of those ppl are not criminals, they are just stuck due to finances.
@@duhh4641 They don't claim it as the 9 but what do you think made the 9th ward the largest in the city? Or why the lower 9 was called the lower 9? If you ran in certain groups that's what it was known as, but for majority it was called The East.
New Orleans East in fact lies in the 9th Ward. Don't argue with me I live in Bunker Hill and I vote😒 I just wanna know why Charlie ain't come holla at me?🤣🤣
Neighborhoods don't automatically get gentrified. They have to be desirable because they are near a tourist attraction, etc and worth investing in because of the particular location. Isolated ran down hoods that aren't near anything important aren't getting gentrified.
@@tsusurflawyer2432 lol u not from new orleans talking about “south” theres no part of new orleans called the south . and the east aint gonna get gentrified it just recently got un - gentrified 😂😂😂 used to be a lot richer and whiter
вроде чёрный район, а тачек норм так напарковано и не каких-нибудь там копеек убитых, а вполне хороших, негры, опять, же одеты достаточно прилично, в общем намного лучше любой глубинки рф
