Nice review. 30 odd years ago I lived just around the corner from the hotel you stayed in, my third floor flats balcony was literally 5 yards from it. Back then the hotel was the Transport and General Workers union's conference HQ. Lovely to see how the promenade looks nowadays... And I have to say it's looking well. Also the pier - last I seen or heard about it, it was almost totally destroyed in a fire, not so many years back. Looks like they've done a great job rebuilding it. The food was always good wherever you ate in the town, glad to hear this hasn't changed. I now live at the opposite side of the country but watching this video makes me wanna take a wee soujourn back to the town i spent my late teens in soon..
Great video, but you missed The Old Town in George Street in Hastings. That's the cream of Hastings. Maybe next time? You would have absolutely loved it! Old buildings, old, fabulous pubs, vintage shops, it's like another world.
It was funny that this popped up today. When you cut to Hastings, I was in that very street today buying a new oven. 😁 Also showing bottle ally, as teenagers we raced motorbikes through it in the middle of the night. 😂😂
