My earliest memory of Eastenders is of Tony Carpenter sauntering round the square with a yellow paper bic biro tucked under his ear. God Im an old bag, hehe
CAN I GET A HOYAAA the genuinely feels like a couple of years ago to me... I remember going to the pub after and everyone was talking about how Stacey had killed Archie! Glad I hadn’t recorded it to watch later 😂 I think one of my earliest is Peggy slapping Frank and Pat in the queen vic

Danielle's death was so harrowing, her death is the saddest because you have to think she never felt truly loved, and was always rejected. She had a very dismal life, its not the fact that she died, its the circumstances in her short life that makes it all the more heartbreaking, I mean all she wanted was her mum.
The thing that was crazy about Bradley’s death is that the whole show was live. I remember the show that was on afterwards when everyone was celebrating how well it had gone and the poor guy who played Bradley looking devastated that he’d just played his final scene.

Trevor met a fitting end, though Tom was a strange one. He had only been introduced 7 months prior to that episode (April 2002) and was a pretty popular character as Sharon's love interest. But then a new producer came in in the summer and just decided they had nowhere else for the character Tom to go.. so they gave him an inoperable brain tumour, then just to make sure killed off him in an explosion with his last moments standing next to Trevor Morgan. Nice...
Billie's death was so well done. It really depicts the shock of somebody dying from drinking too much in one go. One of my neighbours died the same way a few years ago. It's so incredibly sad. One minute they are partying and having a good time and the next they are dead. Drink responsibly. People forget that alcohol is a drug.
My partner's dad was an alcoholic & when my partner was just 16 he found his dad dead. He had gone to bed after a drinking loads as usual & choked to death on his own sick. Was messed up
Billie Jackson's death was so sad, but quite important. It shows how drinking to excess at parties etc can lead to sudden illness or death. This happens to a lot more young people than we think x
I've seen all but one. The one that touched me the most was when Billie died. Lindsey Coulson, the lady that plays as Carol is a fine actress. She acted brilliantly as a bereaved parent. The other one that was shocking was when Bradley fell off the roof.
I remember in year 5 when Bradley.does and at school the next day everyone was recreating the "STACE RUN!" And then was jumping off of steps pretending to call into the floor 😂😂 teachers must have thought we were all nutters lmaooo
Sapphire Smith When I was in primary school we did the same thing but with Tiffany’s death ( grants mrs ) lol 😂. Pretended to get ran over lmfao. I love how the trend lives on .
I couldn't agree more Kelly, the Danielle story was more than just a soap storyline, it seemed to have exceeded expectations in a very deep way, her death effected a lot of people.
@@porge_tbw3641 She started out as a love interest for a dude who was interested in Stacey, she gets a second job at the Queen Vic during Archie and Ronnie's ongoing feud and both try to use Danielle to get information out of the other, Archie persuades Danielle to like, steal Ronnie's mail and shit? Then it turns out obviously judging from the video lmao, that Danielle is actually Ronnie's long lost daughter who Archie put up for adoption I think. (He disapproved of Ronnie's teen pregnancy). Archie found out who Danielle really is and told Ronnie her baby died as an infant, convinces Danielle that Ronnie has depression so she won't tell her who she really is. Danielle thinks Archie told Ronnie who she was, and tells her herself, but Ronnie doesn't believe her, finds out Archie had been lying to her and chases after Danielle and that's when Janine comes along and runs her over. All in all, Danielle had a pretty short arc on this show.
Thing about Billy's death was that people were interacting in that room the whole episode, it was the last few minutes that the clip shown happened with Bianca finally trying to wake him up. Brilliantly done back when EE was well written and earning awards.

That danielle one was the most upsetting storyline to date! To find out you have a daughter and you have no time to spend with her because it's taken away, me and my friend cried when we watched that originally!
Steve Owen's death has to be the most dramatic. The car chase leading up to it and the final explosion with him trapped in that classy Beemer. Shame they killed him off.
I would personally have included Saskia Duncan''s in 1998. The most shocking death in EE history IMO. Also Arthur Fowler's in 1996, and Tiffany Mitchell's in 1998.

Ronnie found and lost her daughter within seconds, East Enders always used to have the most heart wrenching deaths but don’t worry they’ll probably come back from the dead soon.

Considering this was a live episode I think it was pretty phenomenal, yes okay there was a couple tiny hiccups but the impact Bradley's death had was huge. The episode was highly successful and I think the very quick change over from stunt man jumping of the building and landing on the huge mat to getting actor in and mat/ stunt double plus adding the fake blood and then getting free out of shot was amazing considering they had seconds!
Callthemidwife Trash I was sure it was a live episode as I remember watching the episode and then watching the thing on tv after when all the cast were talking about it
This just demonstrates that EE has orchestrated some of the worst, most cheesy deaths in soap. I'm embarrassed watching some of them (ahem...Barry). And Lucy was killed by her little brother purely for shock factor and a whodunnit storyline. Also, haven't read all the comments so this may have already been mentioned. But you have Steve Owen (played by Martin Kemp) as "Sam Owen".
Billies death was hard to take, even more so now as I found my friend dead like that 5 years ago, got drunk, swallowed his tongue, devastating, fantastic performance from Lindsay Coulson though.
