Chantelles death devastated ne because it happens in real life. Good news is though Toby who plays Gray is actually a woman's ambassador and supports women who are abused in charities. Chantelle and Gray are actually best friends in real life. I just want Gray to go though.
@@abbieroseholden4174 lucas kills multiple women.. Meanwhile linda slaps her husband.. That's not a representation of reality at all. Its not 100% one sided.
it’s sad chantelle didn’t get her hapoy ever after or her freedom, and my heart broke for mel, losing hunter made her crazy and was so sad to watch and i think denny got killed off too soon, there was so much potential for some great storylines with him.
Yeah but the point is so many of these people who are abused don't get their happy ending. A lot of the storylines are crazy, but at least the domestic abuse ones really happen. And I'd rather a fictional character die, than a real person, if it brings further attention to the dangers of partner abuse. Also it underlines the sad reality of the importance of being safe when trying to escape an abuser. Nice speech Chantelle, but it's really better to sneak off quietly into the night than confront a violent abuser face to face.
Turning a genuinely good and realistic domestic abuse storyline into a ridiculous serial killer storyline was one of the worst moves and really ruined the whole thing
@@aishamugalu8641 Sharon cheating on Phil had nothing to do with Denny all though he was being an absolute muppet before his death he literally beat Bobby up cos he converted
So, I have worked out, that there is a law, that prevents anyone from uploading a compilation of EastEnders deaths, without putting a way too loud "Peggy's Theme", the consequences of doing so, being death. Or is it just that people have the inability to upload a compilation of sad scenes without resisting the urge to put sad music over the top of it? It seems the same thing affects "restoring faith in humanity" compilations, as, there is literally not a single such compilation, that does _NOT_ have some stupid soppy music playing in the background.
The whole point of Chantelle's character was that she was eventually going to be killed by her partner. It's sad, but it actually happens, unlike a lot of the other crazy storylines. That's plenty of real people each year with a lot of potential killed off by a partner. I'd rather see a fictional character killed off, than a real person, if it brings more notice to the dangers of domestic abuse. It also highlights how the greatest danger is when you are actually trying to escape the relationship. Better to be safe, make a plan & sneak off into the night. I know she tried to be discreet, but if your plan gets scuppered, you start again, don't confront a violent abuser face to face, stay safe. Tina made the same mistake too. xx
Mels deaths was so unrealistic that lorry wouldn't of still charged through that road with the car on fire they rush deaths sometimes don't think them through
@ygr1229 no it isn't. Every time someone uses the train station, they go upstairs. You always see the train going over the bridge. When GREY was arrested it was by the platform outside
i dont watch this show, but when i see the last minute of the episode before other shows, i always ask myself why tf it is so dramatic like i thought it was just a sitcom
They really ruined the domestic abuse storyline with Chantelle and Grey. She finally had the courage to stick up for herself and leave and then she gets killed off and it turns into a stupid serial killer storyline where Grey is just a psychopathic murderer. I have no idea how they are going to reveal that Grey killed Tina. Where's the evidence? Poor Shirley has been worrying about her for over a year surely they need to wrap this all up now and lock him away. I'm sick of seeing his stupid face.
Absolutely lazy writing and lack of creativity with the writers. They are too quick to kill characters off unnecessarily over the last 10- 15 years or so. The amount of character deaths in this time span alone is a joke. I also hate how they destroy characters and make them go insane when they return after years of being away? Like Mel Owen for example, they completely destroyed her character and turned her into a joke. She was an amazing character years ago.
This is why all writers have to be chronic over-thinkers! Comes with the job. 😁 PS: Shout out to Lost and Sayid Jarrah for probably inspiring Chantelle's dishwasher demise. ✊ PS: Get Naveen Andrews to do a stint on the show!
One of the worst shows on TV, all they do is kill off people. Can't think of a story line? Lets kill someone off. They can't even be bothered to have their characters act sad at someones death, Sharon joking about how there's not many Mitchells left after Ronnie and Roxy's death. Yeah, thats something to joke about.
During this period it was exactly that because Jon Sen just wanted to axe his least favourites for shock value because he had no other decent ideas. Honestly it's so much better now with the new boss. And Hollyoaks and Emmerdale have far more deaths than this show
