Abraham's faith was tested by God with the command to kill his own son, Issac. Just as Abraham took hold of the sacrificial knife, an angel stopped him. Abraham's prioritisation of God over his most precious of wordly possessions, his son, demonstrated he truly loved God.
All people, including Christians, struggle with some burden. The faithful afflicted may struggle but they never fall because they're saved. It's the people who fall, having no faith, into destruction by their wicked conduct who have no hope of salvation. Sexual deviants are a prime example.
