As much as Dot was a true matriarch of the square and as much as I admired her, but that is the only negative thing I could ever say about her. She was very quick to judge Joe and only had minimal knowledge of him, but what she didn't know was that Joe was very ill because his sister tragically died in a car accident and he blames himself for her death as he had swapped seats with her. If he hadn't swapped seats with her, Karen would still had been alive and he would have been dead. This is something that could very significantly mentally affect anybody and scar them for life!
I know this is of course fictional but is the way Joe was restrained safe, perhaps people who work in the mental health profession might have an opinion?
Yes its safe. I've been restrained in the same way in a similar setting. They don't hurt you, but you can hurt yourself if you try to twist out of their grip. Its to prevent you from causing harm and when you're down on the floor ready for a shot, you're in a position that won't hurt anyone. Its just tight that's all, and you can't get out of that hold but thats the idea
Anyone know in the photograph Lorraine looks at about: 28 secs I wonder who the small child is in the picture, I know it's meant to be Joe's sister who got killed before Lorraine and Joe's arrival in Eastenders so I wonder who the small child actually is?
