Such incredible looks of Devine beauty and a very talented intellectual man. He could act on his looks alone. He didn’t want the character Mark to be racist so left. Unfortunately he committed suicide aged 20. Horrid waste of a beautiful human being who did no wrong. RIP David Scarboro 🙏
I hold the show partially responsible for David’s suicide. They let him go because he refused to play a racist storyline and then when the British press were hounding him and he was out of work and suffering depression, Eastenders refused to bring him back full time and give him another chance to prove himself. They just left him to languish.
The actor who originally played Mark deserved to be remembered more for his principled stand than he is. I despair at the way that working class actors allow themselves to be used by the middle class liberal/left writers in today's soaps.
