Peggy is so quick to judge. It was not her concern and blabbing about a person's health is not acceptable. Ted should not have spoken about this in public
That's because he felt guilty about the rumour spreading. When Ben got sick, he told Phil and Kathy about Mark being HIV. And even though he promised Mark that he wouldn't tell anyone else, him telling Kathy resulted in Ted finding out and eventually Peggy overhearing Ted argue with Pauline about it.
@@graemebrownemusic I remember Grant finding out about Mark’s HIV status, it’s just I can’t quite fully remember how? All I know is that Grant’s sympathetic discretion completely redeemed his typical nature, just by how unexpected it was. Everyone thought Grant would completely fly off the handle but he didn’t, in fact he even told his mother to “shut up” when she cruelly outed Mark’s business to the whole entire pub?
@@connieosheaMark got hurt in the pub and was bleeding. When the paramedics arrived, Ruth took one of them into the back and warned them that Mark was HIV, which Grant overheard.
@@crispincoque oh okay, well thanks for explaining all of that to me. For me, the predominant things that I’m able to recall from 1996 was Pauline belting Peggy over all of this, the then “Brat Pack” all going to Blackpool, Sarah overdosing on Ecstasy and Tony coming out to Simon. I then remember a pregnant Tiffany walking in on her brother Simon snogging her soon to be ex boyfriend Tony and then running to Grant to reveal that he was in fact the baby’s father. I also remember Joe Wicks having a psychotic episode that led to him climbing up onto a roof.
