EastEnders Titles 1985-2011 - HQ 

Can you imagine the first episode in 1994 when the theme arrangement we all recognise as the EastEnders theme tune began playing? Especially after everyone hated the jazzy theme?

Pretty cool to see just how both the theme and the city of London itself changed over the years!

1999 - Suddenly a Millennium Dome appears.

My mom always watched this when I was a child, and I have been singing it ever since but had no idea what the show was called, but now, 20 years later, I finally ran into it.

This is USA calling. Everytime we met a British tourist in the States we'd ask for an Eastenders update (the episodes we got were at least five years old!) The reaction we'd get was usually "Oh 'Ell! Don't tell me that show that 'ere! We DON'T talk like that! Do we?!

My mother has been watching the show ever since i was four years old. Im now thirty and she still watches it. i watched heavily in the late nineties/mid 2000s. its so hard once you leave because so much happens during this show. i just hate how us in the US are so behind. but this program is awesome

1993-1994 song is different is the only one RARE I thought it was early 1990s

This is a really calm opening for a soap opera

This used to be really populer in New zealand in the 80s and 90s and then we couldn't get it oh the nostalgia

Been watching EastEnders for 35 years

In the first version, the river is light blue, green in later versions, and the 1999-present intros have a dark bluer river.

I love the vaguely ill-fated attenpt at a jazz theme.

The 1991 to 1993 version is a slight remix of the original with some reverb added. I didn’t notice it at the time but this and the recent Drama channel repeats made it obvious compared with today’s version.

the original intro looks so fake,you cant blame them for the technology back then but i just laugh when i see it.The river isnt real(obviously) they probably made a Birdview 2d version map of london and spun the camera round xD and on a side note 93 to 94...WTF

Eastenders went HD on 25th December 2010 and has the same title sequence as 2009 exept the titles come a bit before that it did on the SD version Note this clip is not actually in HD

1998 (2) I never knew there was a second 1998. Not as good as the fourth 2005 though.
