I made this yesterday and it was a HUGE hit. My Italian Aunt & Uncle said it brought them back to their childhood and devoured it in no time. I make Easter bread every year and this one has been my best yet. Thank you so much for sharing and for the very clear instructions.

Happy Easter and thank you for watching. 🥰 you can, I prefer the bread flour. Let me know how it turns out. If you can let it rise overnight in the fridge. 🐣

@@alessandrasfoodislove Please keep sharing!! I can't visit my Nonna because of the lockdown but I am able to drop food off for her. I followed your meatball recipe and she loved it!
Yes, you can also cook as a loaf. Thank you so much for watching. I’ll be doing a mascarpone brioche bread soon. It’s absolutely soft and delicious! I was just in Spain visiting my italian cousin that is a pastry chef and she showed me how to make it. You can watch my meeting with her on Facebook on Alessandra’s Food is love page. 💖 thank you so much for watching. 💖
@@alessandrasfoodislove Good Morning Alessandra, my husband to be in from west virginia and they use bread loaves for communion, we would love to use your recipe. but I don't know if I missed it but I didn't get how long they bake, I got 350 degrees but for how long please. And if I was to do the loaf say 9×5 loaf pan say temp and for how long. I absolutely love you and your cooking and baking. thank you
@@hsgdfgv2446 what a great honor that would be. God bless I bake about 40 minutes. I think the loaves would be the same. All my recipes are printable at www.alessandrasfoodislove.com If you have any questions I try to look at the message that come in daily. If I don’t answer try again because sometimes I miss a few. Thank you and god bless. Hope all your parishioners will follow my channel 💕💝✝️ food is indeed love
Thank you for this recipe! Does this also work with regular all purpose flour? This reminds me of my grandma, who did bake these breads at Easter time. I've never tried it (yet), but I hope to try one this weekend. Best wishes to you for a happy and blessed Easter!
I’m 81 but, as a kid I’d be with my grandmom when she was doing the Easter bread. She would have big round enamelware bowl thing full of flour and milk and water, yeast, sugar, shortening. She’d have the small size can of shortening and it all went into the bowl. Scarf on her head. Up to her elbows in dough. I thought I was being a big help to her giving her a break with the kneading. We were very close.
Dear Gemma, What beautiful memories you have. She must’ve been a very special nonna. Everything was done in abundance and to be shared. So very special. I was just telling my husband I would love to video our friends and family Pastiera making event. I’ll try to get everyone together. Hope it will happen. Buona Pasqua 🐣💚🤍♥️
Thank you so much for watching! You can use the hard boiled eggs just like I did in the video. It is OK that you hard boil them already. Hope this helps. Happy Easter to you and family
@@BrookeMaroldi That is so special that they look like your Nonna’s. I am very happy that you took my advice and are letting it rise in the fridge, it makes a world of difference. Happy Easter
