I was without an oven for a little over a year. I used the microwave and the toaster oven while we saved up for the stove/oven we wanted. I LOVE my oven though! It was worth the wait!

You should get the giant vanilla from Costco. It seems a little expensive but not really when you think about how much those tiny bottles cost at the grocery store. And, it lasts forever 🤷🏻♀️

“After that first kid people don’t care” most accurate fact I’ve heard in a while 😂 I have a 2 month old and cooked a whole Easter dinner and hosted at my house. No one even offered to help with dishes. 🥴
I did Thanksgiving 2019 with a 1 month old. Had my family over. No one helped except for my oldest kids and that with meal prep. Mom came over and fought with my siblings. Yeah it was a disaster. No more mom at holiday dinners lol.
Some family members man..... that's why sometimes making the family you need is better than the family you were born with it's the way to go! I can relate so well to this.

Love fruit salad, I keep it simple especially when you are cooking from scratch so many other dishes.. you can drizzle any type of liquor such as cognac, whiskey, tia Maria etc...or for non alcoholic apple juice, pineapple, strawberry juice etc..whichever you choose let it marinate for a few hours and OMG delicious and juicy..😋💕

Omg trying not to lol while hubby sleeping near me. You crack me up! I made the entire Easter Dinner. Fabulous Aldi spiral ham in the oven. The dry glaze packet- I just literally dry sprinkle it all over the ham and cover with foil the first 30 mins of baking. Then uncover it last two hours or so. It turns out fabulous! Makes a delish sticky type outer glaze that is divine like you find in a specialty food store. I was so exhausted. Did entire dinner and baked pies and also egg hunt for 4 grandkids. But it was a fun day and lots of yummy leftovers.

I’m bed ridden this week so I’m just binging on your videos and saving them all. You do put a LOT of happy in my day so I can just watch a video when I’m feeling down and holy cow you just make me laugh. I do a lot of crazy things in the kitchen too. P.s. I’m not pregnant. Just old. Lol
One of the things we like about carrot cake is the abundance of icing in the recipes and ours has nuts(English Walnuts) in the icing as well as the cake. One time my mother-in-law made a carrot cake and said"I didn't put all that icing on that it called for so I hope you'll like it better. My hubby said later, "it would have been good if she had put all the icing on it". To each his own. lol
omg I say the same thing about the cream cheese packages lol, like not only who decided that was the best idea for the packaging, but who/why hasn't someone taken the initiative to change it yet?!? love your video as always though - I hope you had an amazing Easter! :)

Hey Kim, Here in the UK Carrot cake is one of the go to cakes, Pecans is a different go to for me and I shall try it, Though we tend to use chopped Walnuts in ours, But as you say you work with what you have. I love love love fruit salad my favourite ever. Great video as per.

LOL I had a turkey sandwich and chips for lunch and a chili cheese dog for dinner. I don’t have an excuse other than I was feeling too lazy to cook what I planned and I didn’t have to worry about anyone else’s expectations! Congrats on the new grandson!
