this is definitely missing a few of the easter eggs and funny branding (such as a few other Going Under references like the fizzle-brand cans and the cubicle-branded packing tape and the mug shell having the Joblin logo on it, and the mario cigarettes that cause carcinization) but this game has so dang many it's hard to make an actual definitive list of them and this is the most comprehensive list I've seen someone have in a video so far. There's also an easter egg that is kind of a HUGE spoiler so I'm putting it under a break You know the music that plays when you get to the bottom of the drain? It's Crab Rave. It's Crab Rave but slow and sad so its official track name is Crab Grave.
fun fact about the cheesy guns , the sentence "don't snack on anything you don't intend to enjoy" is a reference to the 3rd rule of firearm safety, dont point the firearm at anything you dont intend to destroy. as a gun nerd, I loved this joke when finding it ingame. good job on the devs for the details!
There's another one. The castle door has the Aggro Crab logo on it! Also, the beer can has "Physics Based Rendering" on its logo. This is a double joke - PBR is the rendering technique presumably used in textures for this game, but it's also a play on Pabst Blue Ribbon, hence the logo design. I was honestly just expecting Crabst Blue Ribbon, but that double subversion had me rolling.
I remember seeing the reveal of the Forsburn costume while watching Rivals Direct 5, and the developer specifically chose Forsburn because, and I quote, "as #1 on the tierlist of characters who emit the most greenhouse gas emissions, we thought Forsburn was a great fit for the polluted world of Another Crab's Treasure." He also genuinely wants Kril in Rivals 2, and has actually thought of his entire moveset.
There are a few more references in the shellfish desires shells. Little bro is the pokemon slowbro’s shell and the baby shoe is a reference to the saddest 6 word poem “baby shoes for sale, never worn”
There are two other references to Going under. The soda cans are of the brand "Fizzle", the company where the heroine works in the game, and the cardboard boxes are labeled "Cubicle", which is the amazon like company that delivers products in Going under.
I'm not 100% on it, but I felt like he crab going crazy before the dark souls helmet, especially the monologue, was a reference to when you find solaire gone crazy in DS1
Late game spoilers!: When you finish off the main boss of the old ocean, the crab king and enter the bottom of the drain through his toilet throne, the melody of the background music contains the melody for crab rave! :D
Hi, I’ve been through this game, and I truly love it, but I found something extremely interesting, when you enter flotsam vale, you can take a right to an eelectricute path, which leads to a stainless relic, and some platforms with enemies, but on practically every platform there is a domino piece, I don’t think I’ve seen this anywhere, and thought it was peculiar. Could it possibly be an Easter egg? Idk, but I just wanted to let you know just in case you ever figure it out. Nice video btw ❤❤❤❤
I’m pretty sure the pinball arena ball shells are supposed to reference pokéballs. It’s literally falled capture ball or something like that and is red and “white” coloured.
Is no one gonna mention that the lil bro shell is a reference to the pokemon slowbro, and once you activate juggernaut you put it on your head like a slowking
The box could be a reference to the mgs series, but it's more likely a reference to Cubicle, the parody of amazon from Aggro Crab's other game, Going Under. It could also be both.
Its definitely referencing Cubicle (didn't know when I made this video) but I think mgs also fits because the cardboard box has the smokescreen ability
In flotsam vale after you beat the ceviche sisters you can find a prawn trapped in a bong named shromp witch is a reference to one of Jackie’s coworkers swomp Scratch that you don’t have to beat the sisters to find him he’s just near the water fall of gunk you just have to flip a switch to move some trash out the way
One more thing that I learned If you talk to shromp before you kill pagurus he’ll tell you that pagurus is allergic to bananas meaning if you have the banana peel shell and banana peel hammer you can kill him with out attacking at all
What makes the Scrub Aggie even better is it's health and the point in the game where you first find it. You find it really deep down in the ocean, where the water is really cold. The reason it has so much health is because the water around it is so cold, because like the real Scrub Daddy, it hardens in cold water. Really cool attention to detail from the devs!
Not sure if anyone has commented on this yet but another fun little Easter egg is in the rusty nails description it explains it would be better suited for a bug which is a reference to the protagonist of Hollow night who uses a rusty nail for combat
The iron pineapple isnt just a spongebob reference, its a reference to iron pineapple, a person who played the demo. Also, Mr. Kril isnt the only costume to change Kril's eye color, the maid outfit changes his eyes to pink
7:01 I am pretty sure that line about “forgetting to question how fire can be burning underwater” is another SpongeBob reference. There’s a scene in one of the episodes (Before season 6 but not sure exactly when 😅) SpongeBob and Patrick are sitting at a fire (After running away for some reason. I think.) before SpongeBob says “Wait. If we’re underwater then how is the fi-“ and then the fire gets extinguished.
father leeve was a crab npc you could talk to, who said they would make it to the end of the world, when you kill him her says "I did it" which took me a bit to realize but made me genuinely sad
We think he is also a reference to either Solaire or Siegmeyer. Mostly because of how you find them often in Dark Souls (more likely it's Solaire because of how the game plays out)
Funny thing is both the pistol in the squirrel game and the one in crab game are both designed by Browning but one is a 9mm (the hi power) and the other is a .45 ACP (1911)

I was looking forward to a video like this. There are so many cool details in this game. It is such an impressive achievement. There is a ton of small details you missed too. In the shallows, there are popsicle sticks with jokes on them. You can hit them to see the punchline.
i think there is a refrence in the rivals of ether outfit because in the desc it says you'll forget how fire is underwater which is a refrence to that one sponge bob episode
Fun Easter-egg that was missed is on the Elden Bay seasoning, one of the recipes says "Fthaggua Sauce." This is a reference to the Cthulhu Mythos created by H. P. Lovecraft (though this in particular was created by Donald Wandrei). Fthaggua was the high priest of the Fire Vampires that traveled the cosmos on a comet.
I had to laugh at the Unfathomable Burger joke which obviously is a reference to the vegan burger brand "Impossible" and the incorrect argument that soy makes you look and act more feminine. :D Also there is a reference to the famous 'Crab Rave' (Noisestorm) video in "The Sands Between".
Didn't mention the Mario cigarettes, the 6.9 alcohol on the PBR beet, the Hollowknight reference on the Nail stowaway, and the Spongebob reference on the Sponge stoaway
Ok, no one seems to be talking about this one, and theres a chance I'm reaching, but the Disco ball shell has the description of "Staring deep into this shell causes an inscrutable yet utterly pathetic smile to cross your face." This HAS to be a reference to Disco Elysium, right? You look into the mirror in that game and see your characters face adorned with "The expression" which is a smile used to (unsuccessfully) hide the main character's crippling depression.
Its less noticeable, but I'm pretty sure Inkerton is a bloodborne reference. I mean, the melee weapon and gun combo, him being a "hunter", his squid fins being shaped to look like he's wearing a bicorn hat...
Holy fuck they made a trans reference For those who don't get it, there was a rumor a while back that Burger King's impossible whoppers had more estrogen in them (this was proven to be fake), and the fake meat product at 11:15 references this
Spoiler alert: in the last area the music playing is just a nostalgic verison of crab rave. You can't have a game about crabs if it doesn't have crab rave in it
