For Those Who Are unaware, The Roles He played Were: RA 2/Yuri's Revenge: Premier Romanov Emperor battle for dune: The Atreides Mentat Tiberian Sun Firestorm: One of the Inner Circle Members who was wasted by Cyborgs (This is why you dont make your bodyguards machines...)
Actually, Zofia is in love with her commander (the player). play last missions in soviet campaign and during cutscene, you will hear some of her words heavily suggested that idea: *During launch for space mission: "Take care MY General, you have many reasons to return safely, you know?" *Coming back from space for new brief: "Upon your return (in Moscow), I had to see you. Winter there is cold, yes? But this winter could be different (because you are here)." And the way Zofia said that is different, unlike professional tone she is used to deliver brief. It's more personal and affectionate.
@@OmegaGamer-vb1qs Can't remember very well right now, I think the first one is the miner guys from Yuri's faction, and the second one is a line from the Soviet lady that speaks to you.
Thanks to 'magnificent' language crash course I had online, I don't event need to able to read russian to know what that means, lol. I'm getting better at other (cursing)languages.
I have another one: in the soviet mission 3 Yuri says "My Psychic Dominator is almost online, give up commander soon all your bases will belong to me." if you can't finish the mission 3 min before the Psychic Domintator is ready. This is a reference to the "All Your Base" meme, one of the oldest and most prominent memes in existence (only that the word meme was not a thing back then).
@@bzqp2 Yeah, it is from 98. At first it was an inside joke but then it blow up in the 2000s. Funny enough, back then memes lasted longer. Like until 2007 or so. Dunno why, guess because they where not that invasive like today (no facebook, no constant meme postings).
@@bzqp2 Haha, nobody does. Back then the internet was a loose bunch of message boards, Usenet groups, forums, mail groups and so on. There where a lot of ways to share information, not that many ways to host it permanently. Memes got send around and spread like wildfire. Yet nobody thought about hosting them at first. Most sites wiped such stuff after a while to safe on space. The true source is probably lost to time. Maybe it didn't even had one true source. Just something that mutated after a while.
This reference to Apollo 11 Moon landing is somewhat weird. First, since there was no WW2, this lander should have been German, as Wernher von Braun should've had no reason to move to the US. Second - the lander capsule is still there, that means that the astronauts were never able to leave the Moon and died there.
@@Kiwijr2579 Also Iwo Jima memorial is the very first thing seen in the first Soviet Mission. This leads to my head canon that the Pacific War between the US and Japan still happened and ended with the use of atomic bombs just like it did in our timeline. Also backs the rise of The Empire of the Rising Sun in the RA3 universe. Also, Allied GPS satellites in RA1. Von Braun is German and Germany is an Allied Nation, so they could still help the Americans get to the moon at a faster pace then in our timeline since the Allies put satellites into space in the early 50s.
@@Cyber_kumo japan was quite aggressive before germany supported them and conquered parts of china. As ra1 not showing asia map, it could be very same story and with the sowjetunion gone, they would have become the major player in asia, ready to attack us as in our timeline
@@Cyber_kumo Actually? In this version of Great World War II's history, the United States engaged the Soviet Union in the Pacific before sending forces to Europe under General Carville. In that reality, the Soviets launched a massive submarine attack on Pearl Harbor around the same time they launched their invasion into Germany. Since the US Pacific Fleet hadn't been updated significantly in 20+ years (remember, this World War II happened in the 1950's), the US Navy was basically wiped out at a stroke, with no replacement program in the works. It took the United States until almost the end of the European ground war to liberate the Pacific. Initially, the Japanese stayed neutral, but joined the Allies in the end. This was supposedly explained as canon by one of the writers of RA2, to explain why the Iwo Jima and Pearl Harbor memorials existed in ~1974 at the time of Great World War III (off camera, this was actually an oversight by the developers, and this story was concocted to retcon the appearance of the two memorials they'd spent so much design time on). It wasn't explained why the Japanese-led "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" didn't work out, or if it collapsed, or (more likely) if Stalin had been subverting it and setting up Communist puppet governments and inciting revolution. Remember, in our own real history, Mao took all kinds of aid from Stalin until the two had a Communist Lover's Quarrel (The Sino-Soviet Split), and Stalin was basically responsible for Mao Tse Tung winning the Chinese Civil War. Mao, in turn, helped foment Communist revolution in South-East Asia, leading to the American intervention in Vietnam after the French failed at Dien Bien Phu in 1954. It was, in the same breath, explained that Einstein, not von Braun, lent a great deal of materiel assistance to NACA/NASA after GWWII ended, having been forced by the Soviets to help develop ICBM's (and Allied satellites, based heavily on Soviet designs). This allowed the United States to put a man on the moon "on schedule" (1969), but because they lacked von Braun's expertise, the Lunar Lander failed and much of America's space program mostly died in infancy (whereas the Soviets' own space program really hadn't). Again, this was a case of the Devs covering their asses.
The initials in the trees were made by Tim Campbell. ACC are his wife's initials, and he put their wedding anniversary as well. The game designer equivalent of carving your initials on a tree. Except he's carving trees into a video game level instead! This Easter egg is also found on the Warcraft 3 mission "Blackrock & Roll," which he made as well.
The three letters & three letters could be a developer's initials and his or her significant other's initials. The date shown is probably their marriage day.
In the Red Alert tutorial, if you blow up the conyard and use the engi to fix the bridge in the northern part of the tutorial map, you also get a hidden message and a barn explodes.
The monkeys and the polar bears are two stuff I didn't know. Cool thing you found in the editor. I have inspected the maps myself too but I didn't look at the triggers. I am afraid you're also running out of stuff to show. It is a dark day for RA2 and TG channel. Heheh kidding, hope you find cool stuff to show about RA2. Looking forward for the polar bear video too.
@@zharakov And every single additional unit dosen`t bring anything new to the gameplay, it just there to be there so new players need to spend hours on learning the statistic of those units instead of you know, enjoying the game? Quantity dosen`t mean quality. And to be fair 90% of those units(including new faction) are boring without anything special. In original Red Alert 2 Allies had their superior technology(prism, chrono, weather control), Soviet had brutal force(faster unit train, lower costs, durable units),Yuri had dirty tricks(mind control, magnetic tech) and the new faction Fohen that dosen`t have anything special, just some nanofiber super weapon that can transform ONLY fohen units into not really stronger units. The whole Mental Omega is just micromanagment hell while you either savescumming every little encounter to not lose any units(especialy on hardest diff) or you some chinese starcraft god who can click 100 times in one second.
To quote from a random wiki: "TSC & ACC 11/21/98". This is a reference to the level's designer, Timothy Scott Campbell, his wife Alicia Campbell, and their wedding anniversary date.
@uh jeff they didn't even stand outside ,the like 20ish ppl that showed up were standing way off at the outer edge of the perimeter which really sucks since we were hoping to break some heads
good show. I didn’t know about the monkeys. The initials are the developers who made those maps, hence they only appear on the maps they made. You still haven’t found the hidden units on the last soviet mission or ra2 yet. (complete allies , then soviet in one game- no load- and get all the Easter eggs and you will have........
You have to have the original discs. It will not work on steam, the first decade etc. You MUST have the 1.0 version and do not install Yuris revenge. Play through the allied missions first, getting all the ‘letters’ Easter eggs. You can ignore money crates and alike. You can save your progress but has to be one complete run through as such. When this is done, complete the soviet campaign. Again collect the ‘letters’ Easter eggs. When you get to the final soviet mission you have access to the “hidden” soviet units. (The unused ones in the game directory).
Additional tidbit in that part where Boris dies in the First Soviet Mission! If you lose him before capturing the Time Machine, he wont respawn in the same mission but on the 3rd mission I dont know how the game carries that information where Boris died in the first mission, but you'll get a funny scene similar to "We lost Boris twice!"
There is also an easter egg when you do the Training mission in RA2 and self-destroy your own base. You get an extra engineer where you can repair another bridge and access in the end a "Cow blowing up a barn?"
TSC&ACC 11/21/98 Seems like a wedding congratulation to me TSC&ACC being the initials of the ones that got married 11/21/98 being the date they married
@tgSacred the TSC&ACC easter eggs are the intials and date of the wedding anniversary of the map designer Tim Campbell and and his wife , he left similar easter egg in another game he made , warcraft 3 its sort of the game version of carving your initials on a tree.
There was an allied mission in YR that had some super heroes named Flint Westwood, Arnie Frankenfurter and Sly Stallion. As far as i know this got patched later and the names and the voices got removed, but in v1.0 the unchanged characters are still available.
The lunar lander on the Moon has some implications... I mean notice how the top part of it is still there, when in reality it should just be the base of the lander? Does that mean the astronauts never made it off the Moon? Or did Yuri take them away to his base... or was the Apollo mission happening at the same time as the events of the game and your arrival means they're going to be dead or have an interesting problem to report back to Houston... Or it could just be an oversight as the Lander itself is a bit of an icon and won't be recognisable from the pictures if it was just the base and a white flag...
Apparently it was due to Einstein being the one who worked on the project instead of Von Braun, the Astronouts are stranded there without any way to go back.
With the Industrial Plant at 3:41, I think this is just a quirk of the wording. "produce our units much more quickly" is true as it won't take as long to gather the needed resources
ACC is my initials.😳 Surprised I never noticed them when I was younger playing this game. Would have tripped me out going through the Soviet missions 😂
My first hunch is that these are initials, at least one of them belonging to a game developer. By checking the credits, the closest I could find could possibly (don't hold my word) be RA2 designer Tim Campbell and a person credited in the usual "special thanks" to section for families and friends, Alicia Campbell. If true, it's quite cute.
Those initials might be the map dev's initials. When i made maps for Zero Hour in Worldbuilder, I'd sometimes add a signature hidden outside the borders. Never thought to hide it inside the map like that tho
@@tg.Sacred Fair enough, but it still usually comes at the tail end of a mission when I've already pretty much got everything I need to win the map anyway. But that's just my own experience with them -- might be different with others.
You could make the Rhino Tank, arguably the strongest vehicle in the game in terms of competitive multiplayer, cheaper than the Grizzly and Lasher...which is a HUGE advantage.
I tried getting the monkeys in the "Last Chance" mission, but garrisoning the building does nothing. Is this easter egg specific to an earlier patch or difficulty or something?
😁 Oh God, I laughed so hard at the last bit 🤣🤣🤣 @tgSacred - please don't ever stop doing this, this is so funny and entertaining, dude, well done to you and everyone involved in the making of your vids :)
as the rulesmd.ini says, industrial plant just does nothing except that it contains "multiplycost" that means multypling cost, but by 1x, that would mean no multiply, changing that would make the game impossible.
ther developers may have misunderstood the order of operations, since makig units cheaper in RA2 does make them faster to build, because build time is calculated on cost. The Industrial Plant cost calculation is done after though, not before.
IIRC the very-first one is actually related to two Westwood members getting married? "TSC" and "ACC" are their initials? I don't know for sure, that's just what I've heard from trying to Google it myself.
Actually there's an refrence or Easter Egg in Allied Mission 4 No it's, not Tomb Raider nor the Tanya like the Lara Croft But what i mean is: Erwin Rommel and Germany Army Afrika Korps anyone? There's also glitch or maybe bug, when i'm bringing "Rexy" back in time present the amphibious transport will always destroyed, even i'm has been putting inside Boris first in trasnport
@@paulmurgatroyd6372 It is a cracked copy, and fixed by adding some ddraw file. I have played for a long time, no sign or trigger from antivirus. Supposedly, I still have the original RA2 Soviet disk but it was scratched so no good tho.
or on the date ? i mean... it must mean something... an easter egg inception ... there must be a purpose on putting ACC and TSC with some meaning.. including the date...
OK, I don't know what that ACC shit is(it may be local joke/reference) and never garrisoned either Pyramids or Burger Kings, but I(and I think everyone who played this game) know about Boris Death(since it happened during the takeover of TM and PPs). What new is, however, the comment about him dying later(I personally kept him on base). Same goes to spacecraft - we all know about it AND you forgot about Zofias comments about Apollo. P. S.: Lt., Boris died when we were in the deep(?) past, how do you think wecan prevent his death when we arrive if he is already dead? P. P. S.: I'm shit at English.
Boris dies in past does not affect the future, since he will still be born and live back to the future again. If hes parents where to be killed before he was born in past then there would be no Boris in future or if they killed a young Boris, but they went to far back in time for that to happen. So in conclusion when you meet up with Boris it is like he never was in with your trip and stayed there instead since it was his "older" self that died.
boris in command and conquer generals zero hour modd rise of the reds faction russia can also fire air targets but if you choose the rpg boris he can only damage ground vehicles and has no defense against choppers
